Lol, traditionally boost and high compression doesn't mix well on port injection engines- so you are limited until you swap out pistons.

Ok so what is the max hp we can expect to see from this without building the damn engine.

I was going to buy one, but I was also going to S/C it and I sure in the hell am not going to build the engine and S/C it.. Thats too expensive

It should be cheaper for the new 5.0 as all that will need to be changed is the pistons, because everything else is forged as I recall... I'm curious how difficult this will be however, because isn't it standard procedure to very slightly bore out the engine for the new pistons to ensure a proper seal?

I'm sure a nice kit will be out that incorporates methanol injection and will help to prevent detonation.

I guess only time will tell, and knowing ford they won't disappoint. Don't tell anyone I said this (cuz I am not allowed) but I like the camaro after the Mustang. Just like the Mustang more :P

This is weird but one of my favorite parts are the mirrors on the Camaro and how they come off the door panel.

If you're gonna quibble...none. But 29 = 30 any day in my world. So...Camaro.

Um.... show me where it said that it had to be a "Performance Car". It just said "In the Industry".

In their 5.0 Press Release they also say "Unsurpassed Fuel Economy" which they love to do with their other cars. I guess "Unsurpassed" is a cooler way of saying "Identical to what others have already".

The same press release makes the bold (and fictitious) claim:

"THE 5.0-LITER IS BACK: 2011 FORD MUSTANG GT LEADS CLASS WITH 412 HP, FUEL EFFICIENCY, CHASSIS DYNAMICS"

We know 412 is still bringing up the rear.

I guess one could argue (in the same way Trekkies rationalize how Kirk's homemade cannon could kill a Gorn and not blow his hands off) that the "Leads Class" comment applies to the combination of all the items in the sentence which follow. This is poor sentence structure but even if it was what they meant we can see that it is also a lie:

We know that 25MPG is NOT more than 25MPG.
We know that "Chassis Dynamics" has no standards for comparison.

So, the whole press release is headed by a complete falsehood.

I wonder what else in there is exaggerated?

Lets get this very clear. They can't false advertise or that would end up in a law suit. Lets show what GM does though, should we?

grab.by/1lOr

Thats GM comparing the LT model to the Mustang GT model (completely a joke considering the GT is a v8 no matter the horses because the torque is no where close to the LT model and weight comparison. http://grab.by/1tCM

That is more foul play than anything else.

How is that foul play?! They're sticking their necks out, putting facts out for all to see...We know it's silly: But interpretation is determined by education on the subject...and in the general market, the odds are in their favor some shmoe will see 304 > 300.
