im guessing almost 4300. i think it was 4180 with the magnacharger and Rick driving. The KB definitely weighs more than that maggie, so 4280+ is easy with it and the cage.

You got me there! I have to agree. I was originally thinking with the bogarts that it went down......and then forgot to add in the KB and cage.......my car needs to go on a diet!

Lol, thats why I asked! Was curious how much weight the blower and Cage added. You have a 9" too right? Car looks great.

Am on vacation, but just popped in to see what is happening...

...and lo and behold J got his car back !! Yeah !!

Hope you get to enjoy the heck out of it. And don't worry about the diet yet (the car, not you). These ARE heavy cars, but make so much power they are still blindingly fast. Yours especially. Anyway, it has all winter to go on a diet. The safety that the rollcage affords more than makes up for its weight.

Now go terrorize the tracks and streets J!!

weight

Thanks Bruce:

Here's my estimations on everything.........Like Andy said, it was originally at around 4180 (might have been 4160).

I personally believe the bogarts got rid of between 80 and 100 lbs ....so that put it to my estimate of 4080. From a website, I once heard the KB was 60 lbs heavier...give or take....lets just say 80.....thats back to the original weight of 4160 or 4180....then add in the bars.....after feeling the weight of the swing out doors, I wouldn't be surprised if it was only 80-100 lbs total for that......so...putting that all together...its probably 4250-4300 like Andy said!

Dang nab it.....and I thought I would be right just one time against andy! LOL.

Midgard, have you seen or followed up on Doc's journal thread. He got his car from a factory 3860 down to 37XX. You could drop in and check it out and see what mods you can do that you haven't done

Now that I've had my car back for 2 good weekends of action.....I have to reaffirm the following.....

1. The car shifts "silky" smooth...its unbelievable. I've driven numerous people in the car and all of them can't believe how it can shift (automatically or paddles) without them even knowing it some times.....

2. I took my car back to the guy who sold me the original here to show him....and right next to the dealer, there is a clover leaf to get on the highway......which is 75.....I was in 3rd gear going through the clover leaf and was only going to gun it when I got to the point where I would be parrallel to the highway (I.E. like 100 or 150 ft from the bridge I was going to go under)......I put it down....and before I got to the bridge I went from 30 to the speed limit just in that short time....he was utterly shocked.

3. The sound is incredible. If I'm in neutral or parked, the car sounds awesome...but not overly loud...but when I push it down a bit....it takes no prisoners! LoL

4. When I start off and let it go.......I put the pedal down.....and let the car's computer do the talking....sweet.

unfortunately the 1/4 mile times have not bested that of the old magnacharger setup. The car even with 17" hoosiers slicks on the back was utterly useless. We have implemented some calibration changes that we hopefully will be able to test out in september that should help, if not, it will need some other changes as well.

I don't have easy access to write anymore...but just wanted to give an update. The transmission was severely gummed up...at indy nationals. Still got 10s with nearly 3 seconds of shifting time. That's alll been fixed...and the car runs better then with the Maggie now. The 9" really helps with grip and takeoff...this car is a monster. Combined with the 30 " tires...I can now see that we can finally get the traction to go deep into the 9s. I probably will put in a new converter to really get this thing to launch...I was hoping to go to Georgia...but I won't be able to....sorry Jamie!

30 inch tires

Here are pics for the 30" tires that I had on at Indy. It takes some modifying to the rear end...but, if you are looking to get more traction from your 16s.....Andy from Livernois would be the one to see.
