Since getting my brackets trimmed down so the intake doesn't rest on them, I've been fortunate that the intake doesn't move at all now.

I've also had no problems with the air horn going out of round (yet) like some have.

I liked ChadG's idea of the Turbo clamps to distribute the clamping pressure more on the plastic horn and maybe securing it better than the worm clamps.

Without going back looking I think Chad said with his 3.5 clamps he could only get barely a nuts worth of thread with those. I think the next size of 3.75 was just too big.

Anyway I found these for $11 shipped and they work well. I could have just used one on the intake side but for the $ I mtached them up.

Vararam affect on Motor

What affect does the vararam have on he radiator ventilation? Scoop sits down in front of the cooling fins. Heat dissipation is restricted at the top of the radiator. Any measurements taken on this by Vararam?

It has to be a minimal affect. Half of the country has been under and hottest weather of the year since this thing came out and we've had no complaints or worries about that so far. Those days where it is so so hot out and you were maybe sitting still or hardly moving on a busy road might be the only times Id worry. Other than that...don't sweat it.

I have not seen any increase in water temp. Since the installation of the Vararam.

No problem. I'm here in Pa and they shipped from Colorado, ordered on tuesday, arrived on friday.

Not bad for the old postal service.

You'll need a deep well 10mm socket or hollow shaft nut driver to run the nut home. The nut is the locking type with the nylon insert.

Next time I have the thing off I'm gonna trim the excess thread off.

VR should invest in these clamps. Would save them quite a few replacement intakes

Mine hasn't moved since I posted about reseating it. There's a cooling system hose under the Vararam that I pushed out of the way a bit that also allowed the VR to sit better - try that.
