3 times? over what period of time? does it seem to last longer after being done a few times? Which product are you currently using?

Using Elmers now- the color is much more brilliant. My first application (i think) was about 6 months ago, but one re-do wasn't really necessary, just wanted it to look tip-top for the 'Fest

I went ahead and tried it out on my interior. Looks pretty good with the grey lether interior. I can post better pictures at a later time, it was already dark by the time I finished.

Not sure if this was covered or not.Does it matter if you use the elmers paint pen on the SS(meaty part) on the headrest or is that reserved for the fabric pen?
I am about 1/4 of the way in on this job and i would grade it a B or a B-,looks good but it looks to need a second coat.

Just saw that Sharpie has come out with "Stained" pens for drawing on t-shirts and such.

Used EDDING 4500 Textile Marker

Did mine a few days ago and used Edding 4500 Textile Marker. Will check out how long it will last.

Very easy to do, about 1 hour's work.

i am liking your guys pics. but you know i am cloth and i was wanting to add some color to the inside of my car. could any body give me any suggestions? or do you think i can take my covers off and replace them with the leather ones. any advice would be appreciative.
my reason for this is do to that fact that ace steering wheels sponsored my car with a steering wheel and e-brake cover and it looks good but i now need to add color to other parts of the inside.

thank you

If cost is not important then you can get your seats done in leather.
You can even get them with colored stitching, saving you the trouble of this DIY.

First , that interior is beautiful .

Second I've noticed a little fade . Nothing bad , I'm just go to re do it eventually.

Dyed stitching

I dyed the stitching in my Camaro orange using fabric dye in a marker pen.
Purchased at Hobby Lobby or any craft store. Has been on for a year and still looks good. get the fine point tip as you have to dye each stitch. took approx 2 hours to do, looks great.
