Try turning it off at that temp for about 2 minutes so it can get hotter, then start it up and see if the fans come on then. I have the Trifecta tune and asked Vince to make the fans come on sooner.
ill try that tomorrow. Thanks again, really apreicate the help! this damn car has soo many problems, if it wasnt for it meaning so much to me, I wouldve lemoned it or traded her in by now

Are there still fitment issues with this intake? I would really like to order one, but the early fitment problems people had are making me nervous. :(

I had mine from the second batch and it installed easily without issue and not any noticeable movement after 2000 miles on it

Hard to say....it really seemed like the fitment issues were dependant on the car...but I'm also sure installation played a part in some of those issues as well.

I would venture to say that the fitment issues are better than they were initially simply from more end-user feedback, and also because now I hear they are including pre-cut radiator brackets.

My VR has been working and staying happily in place for a while now.

One thing you can count on is the great customer service and a refund of your money if you are not satisfied.

rotofab plus axleback package, good deal?

http://marylandspeed.com/rotofab-col...02-p-2624.html

I'm trying to decide on a cai but I was also thinking a new exhaust would bring out the performance and the sound so I found this package. I don't have alot of experience with this stuff so I need some good advice here cuz I'm thinking about popping on this one. If you have this exhaust tell me what you think. ooops I meant to start a new thread.

Hi guys. I've been an LLT owner for about a week now, and I've been looking into a CAI. (By the way, thank you to all the posters here. I've learned tons already) I was wondering if someone has a link to other dyno charts with VR installed. I've only seen one, and it's hard to judge based on so little data.

Thanks guys

In this heat/humidity you probably wont see much from a dyno, just sayin'. Everyone who has had it installed is real happy with it and a few have switch from a different CAI to this one and seem to be happy.

I get that most folks seam to be happy with it (and they do sound/look awesome), but as far as I can tell other CAI's make bigger numbers. Just have a look at the dyno chart. You have to go up 17 places to even see someone with a VR, and he's posting numbers just above stock. I realize there are many factors that go into a dyno, but do they actually perform that poorly, or is there just a lack of good data out there?

Not sure what chart you're looking at but the VR came out after the vendor independent testing that tested CAI, Injen, and a few others. There is no data showing the VR performing poorly, quiet the opposite. The only dyno I know of with the VR is the one posted on page 15 where he pulled 273hp on a stock engine. Considering the stock engine is only around 245-260, that's a pretty impressive gain. The only proven top CAI right now would be the Injen since those that are running the fastest 1/4 times use the Injen. The problem with that is, they were running during cooler temps and until we can wait when people are running 1/4's again we wont see a true picture of what this VR can do. That being said, I do remember at least one poster who switched from the Injen to the VR who noticed more power from his butt dyno. Take it with a grain of salt...

Bottom line, all CAIs will give you a gain in HP/TQ over the stock one with most CAIs only being a few HP/TQ apart. So it's really a "take your pick" choice here, you can't lose either way. You wont notice 2-3 HP difference from one to the other and a driver will make up that difference and then some easily.

From everything I've read and everything that has been posted (including Vince's advice about using any intake without a 90 degree elbow) the VR will most likely be the top one out there once the summer is over and people start running again. But again, a few HPs here and there really don't matter much. Buy the one you want, the one you think looks the best or best suits you. No matter your choice you will be happy, that much I'm sure of.

I was referring to this chart.

Perhaps not many people most on it on something. It seams there is infact a lack of data on VR. I've only seen that one dyno, and what the manufacturer claims, but they are the last ones you should trust. Just seams weird that the king of CIAs wouldnt be put to the test by more people.
