Totally forgot about this thread. Really shows how the Vararam shines at the track.

RAM AIR...... hahahaha... That's a myth... Unless your driving at 300mph... I have researched the CAI system and found it better then almost all others. Ask TED over at Jannetty Rracing, he will tell you a lot..... That guy knows his 5th gen's better then anybody I have dealt with....

That is AWESOME!! You are gonna love this intake. It is in my opinion getting air from where you want to get it. I just love it.

I'm sorry this is a Vararam thread. We are here to talk Vararam. Head on over to the CAI threads and discuss it over there. I have nothing against CAI. I just prefer a straight shot of air that the OTR Vararam provides. It works very very well.

This isn't so much about ram air as it is about where the vararam actually draws the air in front... directly behind the grille where theres a constant supply of fresh air.

From my personal experience (1000 miles so far) I THINK I got a little more umpfff hard to say with a car that allready has some good power

but for sure I gained 1 mpg with similar driving conditions. dont know if its the intake or the "better" maf (from 20.9 to 21.9)

Remove the top two bolts and brackets and simply tilt the radiator back a couple of inches. Once installed the VaraRam holds the radiator in place well enough on it's own.

And, for those who are on the fence, I have tired numerous intakes from them. I have PLENTY of first hand knowledge and experience.

The last Vararam I got is the most current unit. I got it with the MAF. It ran perfectly with no flaws what so ever. There is no bucking. There is no surging. There are no problems at all. I tried the ones that had problems...and I finally got the one that didn't. Am I satisfied? YES. 100% satisfied.

I am confident that the issues have been resolved.

I'm seriously thinking of selling my Airaid to get a Vararam. Only because I like the way the VR looks.
