I bought the SS when they first came out and its official that it will be traded in for one these new beasts. I cant believe the new specs on this monster its sick! I am not a mechanic nor do i know all of the details but I hope the new camaro blows my mind away like the ss did when i first test drove it!

one question though.. My camaro makes noises at low RPM when shifting is this normal? and if it is do you think the new camaros will make the same noise?

could be the gear box. Depending on how low the rpm is, the car might rock back in forth a little in low rpm around 1k. Your not putting your foot down hard enough lol!

I have been told this from another.. He says I try to "baby" an "untamed monster" which i couldnt agree more it just seems like when you buy a vette this noise is not noticable but in my camaro it is. I just hope the new ZL1 doesnt have the problem I might even go with the auto for a more consistant launch anyway. Thank you for the info.

What's the chances of the zl1 being all over the place like the ss is. I see like 4 of them a day! Lots of camaro's. Almost didn't get mine cause everyone and their mother had one. So what the chances of the zl1????

The standards are the only ones that are going to have launch control for drg racing to get the same launch every time. Check out the new videos they are pretty impressive.

If we compare # of gt500's on the street to lower end mustangs, I'd say we aren't going to see many ZL1's around. In Texas, where Camaros have sold like crazy, I literally see 5-6X more mustangs on the road, yet hardly ever see the gt500's.

Slim to nil.

There will probably be 5 or 6 SS's sold for every 1 ZL1 sold, but that doesn't take into account the tens of thousands of SS's sold already.

That said ... so what if you own a car that others obviously like? If you want to be different, there are endless options to personalize your Camaro. One of the things I noticed at the Fest was that out of the hundreds of cars there, each one still seemed to be unique in some way.
