Ive driven the MGW but ultimately went with the Barton. They are both awesome shifters by Great companies but I could not justify an extra $200 on a shifter when I couldnt FEEL it being $200 better. Do you get more with the MGW, yes, but for me it boils down to feel, if I cant feel a huge difference between shifters then why spend the extra $$ I went with the Barton and absolutely LOVE it Just my 2 cents. |

I have 'tried' both...and prefer the MGM. $200 is relative...and it was certainly worth it to me to get an engineered solution.

as has been mentioned many times on these types of threads.. its all "subjective" . Go with what you like!. what some think are the best, others will not and so forth.

I love all the feedback and I love this forum!
Thanks everyone! I don't have access to try both Barton and MGW, but understand the arguments about replacing the entire shifter like MGW, and the saving the money with Barton which feels just as good. This is a harder decision than I thought it would be. I don't want to put any inferior parts in my SS, but I am also not flush with cash. Hmmm, decisions, decisions... Anyone else have good arguments for either brand?? They both seem good, it's probably a win-win situation.

Less than $200, LG all the way. We have awesome deals on them.
More than $200, then go for the gusto and pick up the MGW and call it a day. This is what I see most people doing. Best of luck in your endeavors. Ivan @ Southwest Speed |

Call me strange but I love my new Hurst! Love the white cue ball shifter, it reminds me of a 69 427 vette I used to drive. Thanks Jannetty Racing for getting it to me so quickly! Ordered it Mon., installed it yesterday.
