Congrats.

Dude, patience paid off for you.

You should have been active here back then anyway.

"In the end we are all just car guys, and shouldn't have problems getting along ..."
I have many car nut friends with excellent autos, both new and classics. Do not see why Camaro5 should be restricted to only Camaro owners.
Personally, I appriciate input from non Camaro owners.

I am sorry but it is these type threads that cause a lot of harsh comments on both sides, and I for one wish we could all just respect each other's cars and discuss them openly and without Fanboy bias...
Of course when you also see on the Camaro site bitter words between fellow Camaro owners just because someone makes negative comments about the V6/V8, what can you expect between Camaro owners and other cars???
As soon as we can all grow up and respect that all these cars are worthy of owning, you will have people trying to either tear down or make rude comments about someone elses choice.. and many times it will then turn into a personal bashing session...
You and I seem to agree that you shouldn't go to another car's forum and bash their car, but I hate to say it, Camaro owners have done the same things on the other guys forums.. it's just some folks nature to always think they own the best there is and must try to prove it to everyone by bashing all the others on their home court... but in reality it just makes them look like A-holes to everyone and makes even the true car lovers that own the other makes that go there to discuss cars in an intelligent manor stereotyped into being a troll....

My advice to those that go to other car forums is do what your Mamma always said.. "If you don't have anything nice to say, then keep your Damn Mouth Shut"....

Fair enough.

How many forums are you active on? Surely a Mustang one too.

AND, do you ever get undue harrasement here on C5?

In other words: I'm a bit tired of Mustang (usually)/ Charger/Challenger owners butting in on Camaro conversations trying to defend their decision in buying a slightly inferior car. Stay away and suck it up...you made a bad decision and live with it.
There are those that do that, but a lot more that just are CAR guys and browse / post on other forums because of that ..

The more the merrier!

I actually like the mustang/challenger/charger owners on here Ive seen alot of em post in threads about the camaro and most of em are respectful and praise the camaro rather than bash it and say "oh my mustang/challenger/charger is better than any camaro" I will admit Im a member on a challenger forum as well but I rarely go on it. Those guys are here because they are like us. They respect the camaro and see it as a classic american muscle car. Just like most o us see the mustangs and challengers as a classic american car.

I mean yes there are some ppl here with mustangs or challengers who start up arguments and they shouldn't be here. but if they're respectful of our cars and don't bash the camaro or try to praise w/e they drive than its cool right? And as for the last part of your post that most people have put in bold on their quotes. It does sound like you have something to prove. I admit that our camaros are better than some other cars out there. But there are cars like the 2011 5.0 that can beat our camaros. Anyway thats just my 2 cents.

Probably the wrong section for this thread too.

I usually visit around 6 forums daily. This is one of the ones I am most active on, but that is mainly because it is one of the most active.

Interestingly enough I visit 3 ford sites and 3 chevy sites daily.

No I haven't got any undue harassment. I play by the rules.

I like when other owners come here.

it give this forum spice, along with competition and rivalry. Would you enjoy all these users just bragging about how their cars are the best and amazing? i wouldnt

Seriously though, we're here because we're a community of car enthusiasts, whether what we drive is American-, Candian-, or even German-made. We all love the art that is driving.

When I joined this sight I owned a G8 and had a Camaro on order but decided to cancel it and wait until I seen them in person. When they finally started hitting the lots it gave me a chance to see it and it did not appeal to me so I searched until I found the car that was for me. I stick around because I enjoy BSing smack talking and anything in between.
