The "official" word is beginning of '09, so most likely Sep '08.

More importantly, the 'vert is less than one year after that.

Anyone think, that their could be any chance GM is farther along then they say they are and would release it sooner, i have a feeling it might be before you never know and with the new transformer movie out it would be the ideal time to release this year but thats far fetched lol ha.

Apparently they just barely have a mule going for testing and are still hashing out the details on the subtle details (gas filler placement, door handles, etc)...basically we're all pretty convinced they won't be releasing it absurdly early.

But, noone really knows but GM themselves.

From what I have heard and read, they should be available late 08. They (GM) keep teeling us first quater 09, but that is the "safety net" theroy. All new cars are available in Sept. of the prior model year. 09's are available in sept.08. That's the way I see it, it could be wishful thinking but I'm sticking to it.

It could very well be released Julyish of '08. And have an "early release" extravaganza sale: all other cars and trucks get special deals on them.
Now That's extremely far-fetched.(but possible)

Do you realize how BIG Camaro's release will be! I mean, come on, the best car since the 'Vette is back!

That is for existing models only I believe. If I remember correctly when the Equinox was first released it was in the Spring.

Time will tell when the release will be for sure. I will just keep an eye on the forums till then.

I'm kind of curious as to when the next model year will start if the first '09 models will be on the lots in January, will that make the 2010 start in the late fall of '09 or continue with the same cycle? I'm starting to think I might wait till at least 6 months after the first models hit the lots. Vehicles are only improved upon each year from subtle changes, to fixing the bugs, and perhaps the following year will have more options to choose from. It sure would be nice to open up a box Christmas '09 with a set of keys and walk into the garage to see my new Camaro . I can dream, right

I have often dreamed that dream. Except in mine the keys have a remote starter, and it says "start me". I do, then I hear the Camaro roar to lifw outside! if only.

The latest that I have heard is that they are beginning production in about 14 months (oct 08). Give them time to build a few, and you're looking at no sooner than november 2008, more likely later such as jan 2009 (like that have always said)
