I understand where you are coming from. I bought the very first 2005 Mustang GT delivered to the local dealership here and had the first one in town for awhile. Within a year there were so many "new" mustangs in town guys began to mod them to "make them their own" and look a little different from the crowd.
I sold my 05 GT and bought a new Shelby GT 500, now I don't see my self going down the road.

After seeing the initial order numbers I may wait on a more rare higher HP model or look at the aftermarket options that will be available for HP increase and appearance.

Back in 1967 when I owned a brand new SS 396 Chevelle there was a huge difference in price and appearance between the six cylinders and the SS. The SS 396 chevelle always turned heads when it showed up and still does today.

The smaller engine cars are great vehicles but will lose that "special" feeling pretty quick as the market gets flooded with them. The SS will be more common than the Mustang GT and will look almost the same as the V-6. I hope that GM will offer a step up Camaro like Ford did with the GT 500.

Steve

almost. the SS models without the RS package will have white SS badges

The SS/RS (whether 1SS or 2SS) will have red SS badges.

Dude, its a joke. Hence the laughing smilie. And if I did put Type R badges on it, they would match the ones on your cobalt ss... wich designed to run with "ricers".

I don't understand all the gripe about the Chevy emblem on the grill. . . be proud and show it off. . . if you only care about showing off the SS emblem so everyone knows you paid for the V8 then so be it. . . but I really don't understand all the complaining.
