I dont get it, my brothers stripes for his stang which was installed at the dealer look great, all smooth, and the stripes cover the whole car with no gaps and through the creeses, they look like they were painted.

Mine will be painted and cleared so you can't feel the edges. My friend has been doing custom painting since he was 13years old, he is good and ralley stripes his speciality.

Fbodfather, It seems to me that GM is once again not listening to what people really want. When I saw the stripes not go over the wing and not go to the "mail slot" then I knew that I had to get mine painted... Its look "ok" as it is not but not like most of us wanted to be. So it’s painted on stripes for me!

there are a lot of us who would like them to go all the way, and there are plenty more who love them right where they are. we had a thread about the hood stripes not going down to the front fascia and it was about a 30% scrap rate for those who did not want the stripes to go all the way down. what that means is that GM would be throwing their money away trying to get 2394873249867 stripe options in so that EVERYBODY can be happy with whatever stripe package they choose. it would be too costly for GM to go and add the extra 6" (I know it doesnt sound much, but 6" on 80-100k cars each year and 30% of that goes to scrap. it adds up.) not to mention, the voices on this and other websites are not the majority of the buyers that will be getting the car.

I want a polo Green color option for my Camaro. its not going to happen any time soon, but thats ok. I'll take my blue 2SS until they do offer a green.

we have just shy of 6000 members. even if all of them wanted stripes going down all the way, 6000 people compared to the ~80k of the cars being sold. thats only 7.5% of the total amount. 7.5% is not MOST of the buyers of the car. it may be most of us online, but it doesnt hold a candle to the rest of the world out there that will be buying the car because it looks cool as is, or its a camaro or whatever reason. I dont have any problem with anyone getting their stripes painted on. in fact, im just glad that you are still buying the car. with the financial situation that is going on right now, just be glad there is a stripe option at all.

Please be careful speaking for everyone. I love whatever stripes the team decides is the right setup for the car. They will have picked those stripes for a reason or reasons and I am fine with that.

Do you think Bumblebee looks like ass? Sure, those were painted stripes but nontheless it would have been better to have the vinyls go over the spoiler to the back end.
