Anyone who drives all year (including in the yucky white stuff) lowered their cars? I'm considering it but don't want to make life difficult. SHe drives like a dream with the winters on so that's not an issue.

"She drives like a dream with the winters on so that's not an issue."

1. you live in Canada....
2. you drive in snow ....
3. your rims are 2 inches from road, your car is 4 inches off road,
and you want to lower it????????

If it isn't broke... Don't try to fix it!.... regards "Dad"....... she wants to lower it unbelievable...

I LOWERED my car just a few weeks ago. If I hit a snow chunk though I would be in deep shit It seems like my springs finally settled though every dip from the damn snowplows I can feel but I'm still working on the suspension I hit a ice patch shortly after I had my lowering springs installed and did a complete 360 degrees spin and almost took out a stop and go light. I don't mind taking it out when the roads are clear but when it starts to snow I don't like her out even though I have the all season 19 inch tires

I do see your point, it's only an inch though. I was just wondering if anyone else had done this yet and had any experience.

Hey Stacy. Thanks for the feedback. I've been very lucky with the snow so far. I don't think we've had the snowfall you have though. I usually start in 2nd if it's especially snowy and have learned to feather the throttle instead of juicing her (which feels oh so right lol) I'm just concerned not about the height of the car but the stiffer ride causing handling issues when it's a bit slippy.

We had one nice whopping blizzard this year 11 inches at once which sucked ha! I have the gfx kit also and I'm not worried it actually adds some weight to my car I got the anti roll kit installed last week and my car definately feels tighter than before. I'm hoping by adding the bushing kit it will help out also.

Ah..the ground effects would make it that much lower. Makes sense. What springs did you use?

Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs. Lowered it about 1 inch in the front and just a tad bit more in the back. My car didn't seem that lower but after a few weeks it seems like it's still dipping

New springs do settle over time.

my car is lowered a good amout on my coilovers and i have zero issues. if your really worried spend the extra money and buy coilovers they are worth the custom height settings you want. low in summer 4x4 in winter.

mods this winter/spring = tune, downpipe. should bring me 300hp, 330tq. a new set of tires(kdw2's), and wingless.

My winter mods...

I replaced my tranny and dif. Fluids and added a clutch reservoir. Tried to install ACCstyle’s Daytime Running LED bulbs but the plug sockets don’t snap-in. I’ll get them installed... but I wish I would have found this link before ordering them...

George, you have to let me know what you used for the reservoir, and what you used to block the hole on the existing one I've been thinking of doing this for a while now !!!
