I am very glad I decieded to save for a 2012. I love this look, I'm not a fan of the suede as the others have said but if i remember correctly you will have a choice between suede and leather. Oh and the steering wheel looks fine.

I would not want suede on my steering wheel or shifter grip.

Just imagine what that will look like after a few years of driving

I was a valet in Atlanta for a while and parked a few M3's with suede on the steering wheel and they all looked like crap.

But on a scale of 1-10 i think it came in at 8.5-8.7 not to bad at all.

I agree, 'cept my ratins is more like 9.5-9.7.

The original design was great, imo. But it lacked real-world input since it was a brand-new car.

Once customers got their hands on them and provided that feedback, I think they did an amazing job addressing all the nuances to make this a wonderfully A-class interior (for this segment...Cadillac still rules ).

Dragon, aren't you worried the suede will look like ass after a few years of driving, though?

No, not really. I don't plan on spilling coffee all over it when I'm driving. I image the steering wheel will be worn down, as well as the shifter after several years...but then, so will leather. If it's BAD...well, I'll re-upholster them.

It's microfiber suede, so it should be good stuff...and GM has a habit of designing "lasting" interiors...especially with the Camaro, the original interior was designed to last forever because they knew many enthusiasts would be keeping it forever. That's where all the plastic came from...

I don't think they'd abandon that philosophy altogether just to gussie things up. Enthusiasts demanded a higher-class interior....they got it.

...For those who don't want it, you can be assured it's an option.

if that's really the 'new' dash i'm extremely disappointed. that's like getting new shoes for your birthday and it turns out they're your old shoes with new laces.
