No problem. As long as it is more than one letter you should be good to go.

Can you confirm whether it will or won't fit an LS3 with a TVS2300?
You are good to go. The only reason we are redesigning it for is so that it is easier to install for individuls due to the fitment being tight. Since you are having it installed you are good to go. Sorry for the confusion!

Got my CAI Inc cold air intake ( feels like I said it twice ) and installed it. I was a little disappointed about the rough edges especially on the air box lid. If I were to wipe the dust off the lid when it gets dusty bits of my rag would get snagged. I will be taking it off and smoothing out the rough edges. Also the heat shrink doesn't exactly thrill me either . I will have to find a better solution. The kit needs some fine tuning to look professional.

The top of the lid edges have a radius edge so I am really baffled that they could not be smooth. If you are talking about the machined edge then that would be possible if our cutter was not running enough cooling fluid when it cut out the lid, if that happened I am sorry, this would be the very first time we have ever heard of it. The heat shrink is so the breather hose will stay away from the belt.

He means the inside edge for the glass cutout. Mine is the same way, at least it was until I smoothed it out when I got it airbrushed.

The opening that the plexiglass is taped to, is extremely rough. Also other edges have not been smoothed. The heat shrink will be replaced with something a little better. At least now I will know if leaves get into my air box.

Got it. I am 100% sure that that is fixed now, we ran a small batch that we were running a bit that was to dull and have since changed it. I just checked all the ones we are sending out and they are perfect. We should be good to go now, sorry for the slight imperfection. Thanks for the heads up guys.

So, if I am going to install this myself, I should wait for the redesign before I make my purchase? If so, when will this be available?

Thanks!

Installed My new CAI in my new SS/RS convertible yesterday.
A few notes:
1) easy to install, took 20 minutes
2) fit and finnish looks incredible
3) it now sounds like a V8
4) It feels like there is more power but to be honnest, it could be the better sound!

Next up, I need a stainless fuse box cover with a window to match on the other side.

Bill, any chance you guys might be able to offer more customization options in the future?
Perhaps color matching for the box or more powder coat colors? If not can you or anyone here for that matter recco a place that might be selling and painting these units?

We are always looking into ways we can improve products, but honestly I would expect to see more new vehicle designs from us before seeing different color options. We have had a few guys "personalize" their system by having it painted or addding decals, in which I am guessing they are going through someone local to them.
