Sounds like anyone in the TPW's 3/14, 3/21 and 3/28 are in a crap-shoot. I just want answers... ok, and my car.

From what I have heard from dealerships that it can take anywheres from 6 to 8 weeks before you get your car plus the time it takes to get the order in. When my dad bought his 2010 Dodge Challenger, it took longer than expected to make. Just got to hang tight.

My problem is that the car is built. It was built a month ago, and has just been sitting there. Taking a month to make a six hour trip is pretty inexcusable. Especially when cars built a week after mine have already been delivered.

You're lucky. My friend from work ordered his Ford Mustang(V6) before I ordered mine. 1. His order got bumped to May2011. 2. He has to rely on his dealer to relay his information, unlike Chevrolet which has the order tracking tool. Not saying you shouldn't be mad but some who order vehicles are worse off. Hope you get yours soon Bubba.

I just got off the phone with the VP of my dealership.
At least he seemed to be honest with me and said he completely understands my frustration. He can't get any decent answers either.
He said that if it's taking this long for them to sort out the shipping mess, he doesn't see any change in the next few days.
I had already explained that I'd wait till the end of business this coming Friday April 29th to see if any progress of any kind had happened in getting my car moving. Otherwise I'd like to stop by Saturday and pick up a refund check for my deposit and I'd be canceling my order.
I've already checked local inventory, and it looks like there are several similar cars at local dealers.
They don't have all the options I ordered, but most of the options can be dealer installed anyways.

Fed up with waiting, I found a similar vert at a local dealership and bought it.
Done.

I hear ya man! I wanna drive my Camaro already for Heaven's sake!!!! I know mine is built and just shuffling to and fro. Just a few more days hopefully. This is going to be fun. I did win the first race. Mine got produced first, got the vin first and the window sticker. My friend's 2012 Ford Mustang(V6) got bumped to June. I had now idea races would be so easy to win...

Maybe first

Well, from the bright side of things, It looks like I've been waiting the longest!

Oh well, I was really hoping to be able to pick up my present to myself on my (college) grauation day. But alas, it was not meant to be I guess.

Just have to hang in there... Anyone have an opinion as to if I should go ahead and finish the finances so I get priority shipping? Would it even matter at this point?

Edit: Blitz is right here with me!

That's where i made a BIG mistake. Put 15k down and signed the loan docs on Mar 31 to close the deal so it would count toward the dealers Q1 numbers. That was only since they told me I would have the car first week of April.

Hasn't made a difference in the shipping. They are now telling me it should of the train today or tomorrow and be delivered on Friday, but I'm not holding my breath. I am getting some compensation / dealer upgrades though since I told them I was not fully satisfied. I already have an insurance bill and my first loan payment is due May 15th! I will NEVER sign docs again until I see the car right there in front of me.

I'm in the same boat!
Is 4800 a status when the car arrives in State or just another part of the transferring process; or, did my order take a step back (given that I hit the 4B00 status twice)?

03/17/2011 - (1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order.
03/17/2011 - (1102) Order entered via web.
03/22/2011 - (2000) Order accepted by GM. Dealer used allocation to place order into production.
03/22/2011 - (2500) Order preferenced. Order pulled to the production system.
03/22/2011 - (3000) Order accepted by production control. Parts being ordered and production process is underway.
03/26/2011 - (3100) Order available to sequence.
03/26/2011 - (3300) Order scheduled for production. Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle.
03/30/2011 - (3400) Order Broadcast (internal plant paperwork order produced). Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together.
04/05/2011 - (3800) Order produced and vehicle is being prepared for shipping. For Cadillac, GMC and Buick customers, please contact your dealer or customer service for further updates as no further updates available at this time.
04/05/2011 - (4000) Vehicle available to ship.
04/05/2011 - (4150) Invoiced (order is invoiced to the dealer).
04/05/2011 - (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor.
04/10/2011 - (4200) Shipped (vehicle is shipped to the dealer or interim point of delivery).
04/21/2011 - (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor.
04/21/2011 - (4800) Rail ramp unload. Vehicle has been unloaded from train.

This is good news for you... it means it is now in the Railyard and just needs to be transported to your dealership. Yours had a pretty good turn-around time overall. Mine was ordered first weekend of Feb and built on 3/24 and now is still "on a train".
