Original Post:
Alright, I've been trying to be patient, but at this point I am getting concerned, and want to see if anyone on here may have insight or information on why my car hasn't shipped.

She was built on 4/1/2011 and has been sitting at 4B00 ready to ship since then. I live in Ohio, so this is especially irritating, since the plant is only about six hours away. Oddly enough, someone else from my build week is having the same problem, and he also lives in Ohio. His is a CGM coupe, and mine is an IBM, but I don't think that the paint availability issues should be the problem, since they were both produced over a week ago. Does anyone have any ideas what might be delaying shipment? I already contacted my dealer and Chevy customer service, neither had any real insight. Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Order number if anyone needs it is PNVWH1.

03/24/2011 - (4106) Bailment released (vehicle has left plant property).
03/24/2011 - (4150) Invoiced (order is invoiced to the dealer).

Now the response from my dealer yesterday.
Tim,

This is the response that I have received from the DBC. I will continue to monitor shipping progress for you and keep you updated with any changes in shipping status. I wish that I had more to report to you.

Mr. Raby:
I am Miguel from DBC OF and I am sending this e mail to tell you that order PMWKN2 13/11 as of 03/23 veh is bayed at Oshawa Canada ready to be shipped to distribution center in New Boston Michigan. Next event code 4200 - Dispatched. As of today, we still do not have any ETAs.
If you need any further assistance, please call us back

Mariano Miguel/DBC OF/BA

Today I sent my dealer an e-mail telling him to go up the chain of commans and find out why it's STILL sitting in Canada.

His first reponse...

I assure you I will do all I can to provide you with a reason. My only assumption is that it is bayed for Quality Control Inspection. I will find out what I can and get back to you asap. Ok?

a later response from the dealer...

I think they generate event codes before an event code has been fulfilled. If you look, the event codes are not in sequential order. By date or by code. Codes 4B00, 4200, and 4300 all show on the history list twice for 3-23 and are followed by codes 4106 and 4150 on the 24th. Invoiced to the dealer only means that the invoice has been generated. If you look back at the DBC’s response. They are still showing next code to be 4200.

I already explaing that the earlier 4Boo codes were from when it was shipped down the road to get the stripes done and was returned to the plant property.

My last e-mail to the dealer was.....
The 4B00, 4200, 4300 were when the car was shipped from the plant, down the road to the company that applies the stripes, and was then shipped to the plant.

03/24/2011 - (4106) Bailment released (vehicle has left plant property).

Where is it, why is it still there after 2 weeks, what is it waiting for, and when will it move on.

I'm now waiting to see what the dealer responds with.

Actually, I don't believe that is the problem. That is only one of the shipping companies that GM uses, and I was already aware of this issue. If it was all shipments, then I would understand the problem, but most of the cars from my TPW have already shipped. In fact, one of the guys is in Washington State and is expecting to take delivery on Friday. So clearly they are still making shipments. But then, maybe you are right, and maybe just the short distance ones are affected because of the trucking dispute? I dunno, can't figure it out.

Waiting 2 weeks for it to ship is not a long time. Mine sat up at the plant for 2 MONTH before it was even shipped then sat at the rail yard in Annapolis for 2 weeks before it was delivered to the dealership.
Don't start complaining, I think that makes them move your car to the back of the line for shipment!!!!!!!!!! It does not help to complain. Sit back and enjoy the forum till your car gets there. My total wait time for my car was 4 1/2 MONTHS. You have nothing to complain about yet.

Ya, I know, but it's still irrating as heck not to be able to get an answer from anybody as to WHY it sits in a yard after it left the plant for even two weeks before anything happens.
I know I'm probably imaptient as heck just like everybody gets while waiting for their car to be delivered.
All they would have to tell me is that it's waiting in line for the next avalible truck-load heading for Detroit.
Beside, I think I just got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning
God, please grant me patience, and do it NOW!

Not that it is gonna help much, but back when I ordered my car there were lengthy waits for dealers to get allocation much less a TPW! By the time I actually got my car, 4 months had passed!!

Mine is two days short of four weeks since any update [3/17] on it's status. I can confirm it has stripes already and is just waiting to get shipped.

I live in Detroit, a few hours closer to Oshawa than you. My car was produced on 3/18/11. It was delivered to my dealer (Rodgers Chevrolet) on 4/7/11. It took a full three weeks to get there. I think it sat in Oshawa for 9 days at 4B00. It was them railed to MI (which took 3 days to get it there and off the rail car) and sat in a rail yard 15 minutes from my dealer for another week +. Yes things have slowed down a bit as a result of the ongoing rerouting from the hauler issue.

Thanks for all the responses, everyone. It's good to know that this probably isn't all that unusual. Seeing so many others from my build week ship quickly, and not being able to get any more information than, "it hasn't shipped yet," was making me nervous. I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait it out. :( At least now I'm not worried about my car being stuck in some kind of hiccup in the process.
