I see a lot of Mustang owners switching to the slow lane when they see me merging into traffic on the highway. LOL

For my sake, the hot chick had better be my wife LoL!! This car could get me into trouble in more ways than one, quickly! One question I never want to have to answer: "who's she?"

I know what your experiencing, got my coupe in 2009 and that summer every ride was questions, cell phone pictures, stares, people pointing, sneers from Mustang drivers, giggling car hops at the drive in, people standing around it in parking lots, tellers at the bank drive up window having their coworkers come up to the window for a look, thumbs up on the interstate highway,etc,etc... Just enjoy the celebrity status while it lasts!!!!!!!!

I have had thumbs up at red lights, 'really nice car' comments at the drive thru window, 'I really like your car' comment at the gas station, long looks in the parking lot as people walk by, comments from the off airport parking shuttle driver, wow is that really your car! Yesterday a pickup was playing speed up and slow down in the passing lane. Finally I saw the passenger taking a picture as they passed for the last time. The car sure draws a lot of attention

Today, I got a call from my friend who is a Illinois State Trooper, He said he had just seen my wife drive by in the convertible, and it was Illinois State Police Approved. My wife said she thought he might pull her over just to check out the car.

Yes, lots of positive attention. Stares, waves, thumbs up, almost had one person falling out of their passenger side window staring at the car as they drove by on the highway. However, mine also got keyed recently, so with the good comes the bad. Jealous bastard...

It happens all the time. I have people at the gas station come over while I'm pumping gas and tell me what a nice car and then they ask all kinds of questions about it. I don't know how many times I've heard "this is the first convertible I've seen and it's beautiful". My husband and I were in Orlando a couple of weeks ago and as we were starting to drive away from the gas pump a guy ran over with his thumbs up and said he just had to come over and say what a nice car it is. Also while in Orlando at a stoplight we met a guy from Canada who said he lives not far from the plant and he loves the convertible. It definitely gets alot of attention!

My favorite was when I dropped off some drycleaning with the ragtop down and the kid working the counter (he was probably 20-21) was trying to sneak taking pics of it with his cellphone... I def got a kick out if it!

I had an offsite work event to go to today. As I pulled into a parking lot, a bunch of kids were getting out of a SUV. They went crazy when they saw my car. I slowed down so they could check it out longer. Then I revved the engine for them as drove away. I could see them jumping up and down as I left.

oh yeh, I pretty much think its mandatory. And if that makes me juvenile, at least I'm still considered young.
