I really can't complain about the ride in my SS. Don't think it's a rough ride at all. Actually it is a little too luxurious for a sports car. I've got BMR lowering springs that i'll be adding soon to help that out. If my memory serves me correctly, the BMW 325 Ci I had several years ago had a rougher ride than my SS does.

Hope you get this resolved quickly
SynerJersey110:
I do hope your car dealer brings a solution to the problem. I drove a friend's '06 Corvette sometime ago and I'm positive the ride felt harsher than my CAMARO SS. His car suspension was still stock. Then also that suspension was dealing with less mass. I haven't ride in a '04 'Vette like the one you had so I can't compare. After I wrote here, I began to think that perhaps a switch to a different set of tires with a less stiff sidewall might help improve the ride comfort. It is annoying though to have to incurr in such additional expense on a brand new car. Cam#7 went a bit further and kind of hints that the different ride feel can be traced to the wheel tire combination of the different models (the one you sampled and the one you actually purchased). I, unfortunately, concurr with Cam#7 in that the different wheel/tire size and model combo affects both performance and ride feel. I sincerely hope you can resolve this issue to your satissfaction with the least amount of expense or incovenience possible. Ultimately, I wish this do not put you off the CAMARO: it is a great vehicle and I believe with patience it can be modified to suit everyones tastes or needs within the range limitations impossed by its sports car design. best of luck, The Flash

You can tell you are used to it by placing a dime on the road and driving over it........ You are used to it when you can tell if it's heads or tails.

The SS rides real soft in my opinion. But I think it's a product of what you are used to driving. I've been DDing my TA for two years or a very stiff suspension setup and that's all I've ever driven before the SS.
