Yea people with kids wake up lol Camaro isnt and never was a family car. If you cant keep your family car AND get the Camaro then you shouldnt get the Camaro. The backseats are for short trips only. Sorry married guys!

I'm 6' tall and about 280#'s. When seated in the Camaro (both with and without a sunroof) I found the legroom very good. Though no one would want to attempt to sit behind me. I just barely fit my hand in the space between the back of the front seat and front of the back seat. I had to lean the seat back a bit in the one with the sunroof though, otherwise I was just barely touching the roof. I like my seat reclined a bit though, so a sunroof will be fine with me.

no one has answered me yet, how big are the footwells compared to the last bodystyle? are they cramped for my size 13's still?

Whoa, dude. I just read about three of your posts and in each one of them you were being condescending.

I hear what everone is saying, and appreciate the kind words, but some of you don't get it, I have the family cars, not the issue. I don't want a 4 door Camaro. I want to be able to share this beautiful car with my family, I was able to share many great times with 3 or more people in my 91 RS, but that isn't even possible with the new car, no room for anybody behind me. Maybe if I only had one child, they could sit behind my wife as she is 5'2" , but I have 2 kids and neither would fit with me in the drivers seat. Don't get me wrong I expected it to be tight, I just hoped for enough room for them to share the fun. That is what the Camaro is about the thrill and if the option to share it isn't there, then I have to look at other options.
As far as footwells, not a worry okyankee, I have 13's as well and no issues at all.
Good luck to all who get one, it is a beauty for sure.

Condescending to who? Families? He is being realistic and stating a fact that a Camaro is, always has been, a sports coupe and not a family sedan.

Well, that happened last night, and it was epic.... The look, that profile the details I have picked off of all your posts and photos and all over the internet, all there for me to finally digest at the same time. It was a Aqua blue V6 with alloys, looking oh so nice in the nice heated convention center away from the snow and ice of a Rochester winter. I climbed in and found that huge rocker panel bump that I prayed would be gone from previous Camaros, disappointed with that huge lump as you got in and out of the car. Then it appeared that there was no head room , I'm 6'6 and close to 300lbs but I found the power adjustment and the seat lowered to a nice comfortable level, no issue there. I held the wheel and looked at the gauges, just as I had seen in a million pics on the net, perfect, the seats were comfortable and supportive. I felt cocooned in the cockpit and knew long drives would be met with comfort for a long time. Took some shots to post for all of you inside and then looked for the rear seat room, there was none, with the seat adjusted back for me , there was zero room for the kids in the back, now some of you may not care, but I have a family and I want to be able to go on a cruise with the kids to pickup some ice cream or just for a cruise to nowhere on a nice Sunday afternoon, that daydream is gone, there was more room in my 91 RS and the main reason I got rid of it was that car seats would have been an issue when my kids came along.
Love the car, love the look, hope it continues forever, but at this time the Camaro makes no sense for me and my family. It's not about being a daily driver, I have those that are large enough for the family and the dogs and camping gear for a weekend, but if you make a car with 4 seats you should be able to use them , anybody over 6 ft who wants to take some people for a ride will have serious issues in my opinion. Don't take this as an attack, it is not, I love Camaro and Chevy to the core but this comrade is not the one I had hoped for, it needs to be stretched to a larger size similar to the Challenger to allow more varied use, in my opinion. Enjoy the picks, enjoy your Camaro's when they come, I'll test drive one myself at some point but it will just have to remain a dream for me ....

Ok just one comment.

G8 GT

Can get one cheap now..plenty of power, huge back seat, huge trunk drives better than my old BMW (by far)

They call it a 2+2 for a reason...those back two seats are meant for occasional use. So I don't blame you for not feeling like the car makes sense.

I've got a Cobalt right now...and it's a sedan -- but I've been in the coupe, and there's not a whole lot difference. Anyways, I've learned to just deal with it. I pull the seat up a couple clicks more than I'd like, and we just...deal with it. So for me, personally -- having a couple extra inches of rear seat room isn't worth making the car any larger. Especially not as large as the Challenger.

Have you checked out a G8? It seems you really want those rear seats....
