how does the sub sound? Is it too much bass?

If you're not looking to shake the doors off your car, 1/2 gain and BASS between -6 & -9 on the head unit is great... just enough bass to fill what was missing and you can crank it without worrying about blowing your stock speakers... when my wife isn't around I put the bass on 0 and crank the volume... THEN it's LOUD and the rear view mirror is unusable.
