I think I can speak for Rick here as he and I work together. We did not participate in the pre-order program. That was a decision made by the owner and we stuck with it. When our first car became available and we saw the constraints, we ordered the car for our first customer. I will not discuss his pricing but we signed up long ago as an MSRP dealer, check the thread. We do not price gouge. There will be plenty of Camaros to go around. As a result, we have sold one against our guide number. We have a strict policy to not over promise and under deliver. We are not here trolling for business, we have NEVER asked for an order. We have provided fact to the Corvette community for years. We are just trying to provide the same information here. If that is controversial to you, then I am sorry you see it that way. That wasn't the point.

This is not cheerleading in high school, this is business and we know what we are talking about. Anyone can ruffle the pom poms and sound good....tell it like it is I say!

With the repspect we have gathered within the Corvette community, we felt we would gather the same with the enthusiastic Camaro fans too.

The orders I shared with you are PULLED and beyond 3000 status gang. That is all. After seeing so many people upset about mot getting their car in a timely manner, I thought this was good news , that maybe, just maybe some cars would hit the showrooms and be available for you to purchase.

The initial IDL from GM stated we are in control of our orders period. if a dealer chooses to order a stock car over a sold order, it goes against his total count and it is his choice. Most of you know we are right and not trying to cause any issues here, just lettinig you know, as you KNOW, the car is coming and you may be able to get one sooner than you think, heads up is all!

Have a good day~thank-you!
I know these guys from the Vette community and thanks

Fair enough.

I'm certainly not one in the "warm and fuzzy" camp. It just always seems that the truth is somewhere between the opinions you/Rick present and the warm and fuzzy guys. For example, in the implosion that was the January IDL thread, you guys stated that v8s would be impossible to come by. So far, it seems the v6's are the problem. Will this change? Time will tell.

It's statements like this that are patently not true that don't exactly garner good will either...

Ever since Greg and I did that video after the 1st GM announcement about the Camaro delay, we were the ONLY ONES talking about the ambient lighting feature that may also be delayed
Ambient Lighting delays/issues were discussed on this forum long before that IDL even took place and even semi-official statements were made that they were "working on it" so I don't see how you can claim that. This is just an example.

I appreciate the facts that you provide (the weekly constraint report is great). It's just all the commentary surrounding these postings that have often proven to be false that I think we could all do without.

If we don't know to take what nearly everyone says here with a grain of salt by now, it's shame on us. I appreciate the info. you, Rick and Greg, are passing on to us. The submitted stock orders you're showing merely verify what a lot of us had already suspected would happen, and how you're conducting the sale of your Camaros or what price you are asking for them is your business, and frankly, unimportant to me.
Keep it coming, guys!

If the dealer puts a number 1 priority on a stock order (TRE) and it is within constraints, it will get built before a priority number 2 sold order (SRE) even if identical in equipment.

Should they? I don't know why they would unless for the reason stated above.

As I said before, the photos taken are probably the cars that every dealer is supposed to get one of. Technically, they are "stock" orders.
There you go again disputing what Fbodfather has said... geesh..

Most will be returned to Detroit -- gone over with a fine tooth comb -- retrofitted with the latest and greatest 'stuff' -- and then sent to the GM Auction where dealers may bid on them as "used Divisional company vehicles"....so many of them will reach happy owners.

Others may be used for testing at Milford when they return to Detroit -- and some may be used for 'other' purposes....

Rick and Greg are correct - the guide number a dealership received through Q3 could be used for lot cars or regular orders after the pre-sold order period was to end. What GM was frowning on was if orders were entered using customer names for the pre-sold program. If a dealership got 10 cars, they could order them as a regular order. What took me by surprise is, they didn't wait until AFTER 3/15. Will this ordering effect your order? Yes and no...the "By September" estimate was WITH these cars figured in...Now if there's dealers not submitting what they can, the line will be shorter.

This was a good find on Ricks part - primarily for the fact that if you had a sold order, and never got a print or thank you letters, you may want to check your order code. It will also help for the "price protection" that was mentioned. In the dealers Camaro Launch page, it states price protection, and makes it seem questionable....I have been told from "above" they (pre-sold orders) will be. But without the right order code, you won't have a chance!

There is lots of news coming out on this car, and I'm SURE Rick & Greg's phones and emails are just as busy as mine, answering questions from people who ordered somewhere, and their dealers can't even tell them a status on there order. I had a person tell me thins morning his dealer told him they don't even know where to look? wow! He has an order number, and when checked, it says it isn't valid. I don't have to tell you what that means! But BE GLAD that there ARE people like us in the business, that can help. I'm sure they wish as I do, everyone out there could be at this level of professionalism !

Teamlynn is just another person at a dealership that is going up and beyond, to help everyone out.

Scott, you hit the nail on the head. Rick and I are the New Vehicle Managers for Buick, Pontiac, Cadillac and Chevrolet. We are VERY busy each and every day. We do take many phone calls and e-mails from all over the country wanting to know info on an order or what's up with production. We are happy to help, it is just unfortunate that there are dealers that just don't get it. We've been down this road many times with Corvette too.

I think that is reasonable...

What do you mean by "there you go again"?

Did you see the probably in that statement?

Why do you see fit to give me a hard time about my opinion? Did we have some sort of disagreement elswhere here?

I was commenting on a photo. That's my opinion. If I misunderstood your comment, please PM me and explain it.

Pirating smileys? Oh, how low will some people go? I'd say half price and 0% APR forever....yeah, that's the ticket.

I said there you go again to the comment you made that I highlighted. you did make
the comment you had said that before you thought they may have been dealer cars, It may have been your opinion but Fbodfather had already explained in the origonal thread on those photos what they were and I copied his explanation in my post. if you still believe they are dealer cars I don't know how you got that idea from his post...

The only problem I have is people that keep posting the same "opinions" even after Fbodfather has explained that that opinion is untrue.
true that most will eventually wind up in dealers hands but not as you have said, as they stand right now they will not go to dealers to be sold, threfore they also cannot be "stock orders"
