well -- don't rot - and don't go homeless............

Meanwhile - calm down.

Next - take it to a reliable body shop and get an estimate - and then take it to ANOTHER reliable body shop and get a second estimate.

Let's find out what they say - and then you can make an informed decision.

I would suspect your rates may go up -- esp. if you had claims before.

(.....funny we should be talking about this - I just found out my home owners insurance went up by $1,037 because of a claim I had last winter......)

Once you have the proper info - you may find that it's wiser to cover the cost yourself rather than to file a claim........

If I were you I would call GM and complain. Another member on here seems to think that GM should of built these cars to take running into walls and posts without damage. Maybe he owned a tank before his camaro.

Drop your car off at the dealership and then get a ride to see a Psychiatrist.

And also in response to everyone who suggested going to a body shop.

They all say they can fix it by taking it off heat gunning it then matching the paint. One guy said $300 the other said $500 the other said $350.

Thanx for all the help. I'm tempted to mess with insurance to not come out of pocket but it's just killing me driving around like this.

Take a hair dryer and heat the middle of it. Put pressure on the top and bottom with your hands. It will pop back into shape. Then you just need a little paint work. Prolly 150-250 bucks for a little paintwork for something that small

That's part of what the parking sensors are for - things you can't see.
