I must say from experience that the factory system is junk..Better than some on the market but relatively junk for accurate reproduction of music in a car. That is why mine will be coming out in the future..I'm already desingning the new system..

I could run low 12s in the 1/4 and it still was as quiet as a Cadillac, getting 25 MPG on the highway, with the T-tops off and the AC on jamming with my Alpine system OK, I half lie. It was quiet until I bought and installed the Vigilante 9" racing torque converter by Precision Industries with a stall just over 3200 RPM (when the ProCharger was hitting around 8# of boost). That's some drone and whining I'll never complain about! At idle you could enjoy the audio just fine.

They came with my 2LT... nothing to complain about... just set the EQ correctly and sounds good to me
