^LOL, I'm aware that driving in reverse won't actually reduce the mileage. I was just concerned with the possibility of some shady dealer hacking in and changing the real mileage, but another member already addressed the issue.

Did you do the finance before the car arrived? I did. I did all the financing before my car was delivered. When they do that they have to put milage down even though they dont know what it is. Could have happened.

If and when someone discovers how to hack into the PCM to roll back the odometer, they will be a very rich person..until they end up in prison.

Yea, I paid for the car in full before it actually got here. Cool, that makes sense. Thanks a lot guys, that's why I love this place.

And I really don't think a dealer or anyone would roll back an odometer for 10 miles... jus' sayin'...

Sometimes dealers will add a few miles to that piece of paper bc they don't actually remember and don't go check. I got my car with 3 miles on it but they put like 8 on the paper bc the salesman didn't remember. No big deal.

Carfax is about as accurate as Wikipedia.

It's "garbage in, Garbage out" at its best

Auto Check is another company that does same thing. I have the CarFax for my TA (bought that myself) and the dealer had the Auto Check report, both had all the same info.

AutoCheck tends to be more accurate and respected more so in the auto industry... plus they don't advertise or promote the negative stereotype of "the scammer" car dealership(s)

Carfax is highly inaccurate. My last vehicle was vandalized and insurance company paid $4,500 to the dealer to repaint the entire car. It isn't on Carfax.

This is true! When they are taking reading from the car they general don't make a exact sceince of it. You might have one guy that works there that always writes 5 miles down or 35 miles or what ever number is in his head.

It will if you put it on a jack. Just don't start beating on the hood while whining about daddy issues.
