I am scheduled to have him put on an SLP Supercharger and CAI (Blackhawk) in 11 days and I understand that a strong MAF will be necessary.

I also understand that the install will also involve a retune. That should fix any issues with the low octane fuel the dealer probably filled it with when it was delivered, right? But I'm guessing I'll need to make sure all that fuel is used up and replaced with hi-octane fuel before the retune, or I'll have the same issue, right? Am I missing anything?
your on the ball here but you need to make sure thereis nothing mbut hogh octane in her before the tune and blower go on, if not.....no bueno. And yes the tune will correct any fuel issues, therefore you do not need to do a fuse pull. Last but not least. The tune parameters are set regardless of a weak vs strong MAF. so it can go in at anytime really, its just how the car will perform...its not gonna mess the tune up and require retune is what im trying to say, lol

Well I have a weak one and have been waiting to replace it. I have had a WRX that I have raced twice, both were close but I still lost. If I have read all of the various board post correct then I should either get closer to beating him or beat him after I replace it. A few days ago I ordered a strong MAF sensor from APEX-CHASE, So we will know the outcome pretty soon. I also ordered a CAI cold air intake, I plan on racing him with just the MAF and with both. We shall see the outcome.
