Would I be able to drive my car on base if I'm even going to be on base for my mos. I know this is very vague but I can ask more specific questions when people respond. Thanks in advance.

It's too bad your not in boot camp for the birthday. I was at PI going through boot camp for the birthday and the chow hall cooked us steak, shrimp, and lobster along with many other fantastic items. AND we could get seconds with the senior drill instructor I had. I was terrified because I thought we were going to get destroyed and end up puking up all that food later that day but they left us alone. Hunger and the sight of it all won out and I ate a rediculous amount of food. And we stayed inside and had free time. The next day wasn't bad either cause they were all hung over. The day after that though all hell broke loose and I got tortured for being greedy and going through the line twice along with the others that did so. Good times lol.

Heh. Fort huachuca was terrible..35M/97E. Wait until you get to your unit. I waited till after my first deployment in 04 to buy my mustang. (Since sold and now 2ss). The deployment pay helped with a nice downpayment. Might also want to wait for some rank too. I was an e4 and shortly after buying the car was an e5. Keep and factor in age and insurance costs too dude.

I talked to someone who has a brother in the marines and she said trying to save money is close to impossible when im in the marines. Is this true because this would crush my dream of having a camaro in the near future.

Nope saving money is easy. You don't have to pay for food or rent. I left the Marines with an excellent credit score lol.
