I hope the camaro doesnt sell to much... not that I dont want GM to succeed or anything

I am so sick of every other person on the road driving a mustang, I feel so unoriginal lol

Statements like that have to be one of the funniest and most used phrases you could ever utter about a mass produced vehicle.

If you want exclusivity or to feel like you're driving something few few others own, buying a Camaro or Mustang should be the last thing under consideration. Sure, for the first several months, if you are one of the first to take delivery of your Camaro, it will feel like that, but once more and more of them are on the road, at shows, etc, the less you will feel "special".

You're right, the weight difference between the Mustang and the Camaro proves that out.

100 to 1 Wow! Just because reviews say the car is good doesn't mean that mustang fan boys will come our way, or the rest of the general public. They are more hot blooded about their car than we are IMO. I expect to destroy chally in sales, but I'm sure mustang sales will just remain the same.

Far too many chicks want the mustang. And too many chicks out there with too much money have the same phrase going through their head. "I want a mustang convertible, they are pretty" At least that is what a friend of mine did last week. I tried to tell her to try out something different, but she wanted no part of it. Now she is the proud owner of a very ugly white V6 stang. ugh. It hurts to look at.

Plus you have to add the fact(at least in my opinion) that GM loaded this thing with a very iffy interior. I heard about a dozen people at the last auto show say that the interior was ugly. I personally believe that the interior of this car is a big risk, and I strongly believe it may bite GM in the ass on camaro sales.

The return of both the Challenger and the Camaro means Ford is gonna do something to improve on their car. Ford fans win out in this. Competition pushes others to come up with new stuff and the consumers (while we pay for it) get better cars usually.

In the end, no matter what. The return of the Camaro and the Challenger is good for us all.
Considering in a pony car vacuum Ford gave us the Terminator(which was actually on sale at the same time as the '02 SS),Mach 1,Shelby GT,'08-09 Bullitt and a 500HP GT500....all produced with no competitor. Actually having to step up to some competition gives us the track pack GT and a 540HP GT500,so yeah, competition is going to make it nice to be a Ford fan for the next decade.

Yeah but look at the challenger... I think I have only seen about 5 since they came out. Thats how I want it to be.

That's the way it will be, until about this time next year.

Not even the same thing. The Challenger has barely been on sale for a whole year AND Dodge is only making about 30K a year, that's alittle different from about 100K a year for the Mustangs or Camaros.
If you want to be different, forget a new Camaro. Hell, spend 10K and buy a mint '78 Z28,you sure as hell won't pass yourself 100 times a day and you'll be probably the only one at your school or work. Any old car will do.

OK, Ok....so I exaggerated a bit...so maybe 2 to 1 is more realistic. But no less than 1.5 to 1......That is my final offer!

There are some very valid points on here. For one the hp numbers to the general public really don't mean as much as alot of you guys think. So that is a huge plus for mustang. The 2010 is alot nicer than any previous mustang exterior, handiling and interior wise. We keep making the IRS such a big deal, but as mustang sales have shown nobody really cares. Finally CC makes a valid point on Camaros interior in the autoshows I have been to and I am going to another Sunday. Alot of people dislike the interior ALOT. So with all these factors I do not see the camaro out selling the mustang at all.

YOu leaving out the fact that the Camaro is first year back and the Mustang has been on the same basic look for years already. Not to mention that the back of the Mustang is the worse it has ever looked. Looks like a Chrysler Laser/86 Supra...............

Actually that's subjective. I find it looks really good in person. I also have heard many people say it looks smaller and more slick than the camaro. This at both auto shows so far. I think we discredit the mustang to much on here
