2010 Mustangs on showroom floors

Well, our local For dealership had two 2010 Mustang GT's on the showroom floor Friday and they sold one of them that afternoon. (After the tornado struck). I saw a couple with drive-out tags on the streets earlier this week (one base, one GT), too.

So, when will the Camaro's be hitting the showroom's? Seems to me that Ford has once again scooped GM by getting their cars into drivers hands before the Chevy dealers get theirs.

Right now. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18298 I'm expecting the "delivered" threads to start popping up all over the place.

I saw a truck load of 2010 Mustangs come through town a few days ago. Our local Ford dealer was forced to shut down last year, along with 4 other ones in my area, so I'm not sure exactly where they were headed. They actually looked pretty good, I'm not gonna lie.

Yeah, there's supposed to be two coming to Armstrong Ford (our local Ford dealership) very soon, they're even listed in the local inventory if you build one on the site.

I'll be honest, I thought I'd see the Camaro in showrooms before the 2010 'Stang.

Looking online 5 Star Ford in Richland Hills, TX has a few already (unless those are coming and not on lot already). If my wife and I do make it to the get together on the 18th in Grapevine, she wants to swing by there and check them out to confirm her desire to get a 2010.

I think there's a difference here though.

The 2010 Mustang is just a refresh of an existing model. The Camaro hasn't been on the market since, what, 2002? There are probably not that/as many people running out to pre-order the Mustang (not that it won't sell well) so they get shipped straight to dealer showrooms where they will definitely make some sales.

I went and looked at a new GT, its not ugly, but I can't get past the hp compared to the Camaro. I'm surprised they didn't try a little harder to be competitive on that front. On the plus side, I like the rearview camera, touch screen nav, and general appearance of the interior. IMO, Can't really compete with the Camaro though.

the 2010 camaro is 3 years old now... i think they have had enough time?

obviously ford isnt too concerned with the horsepower wars... you can tell by the way they only added 15hp.. besides that never hurt mustang sales in the past. trust me the people that buy a car for HP only are far outnumbered by people who buy for a bunch of other reasons.

Nope, nor did I say they should be concerned about it.

Obviously the Camaro didn't go into production at that time so it's not fair to say they've had three years now.

I wasn't taking a shot at the Mustang at all so I'm not sure why you seem to be defensive about it.

the first one was for you "the camaro has been out 3 years"

the second one was for the other person.

No disrepect intended, But what the heck are you talking about??? The camaro started production last month!!! Are you talking about the concept?? If so then you know concepts are Concepts and not available to the general public for sale. It is like if someone said that the redesign 2005 mustang was 3 years old when released because the Mustang concept came out a couple of years prior. Do you see how silly your logic is.

i am seeing more 2010 ford mustangs here in toronto., i saw Blue Gt north of toronto in the show room, 2 others as well in other dealers, they are hitting the show rooms before camaro, i am thinking i might wait untill 2010 to get next year mustang with 5.0, its not a bad loooking car, i just don;t like the HP and live axle it has, and 5 speed, change those 3 changes and ur a winner
