they. look. terrible.

just get your car clear bra'd. it's expensive but if done well, is practically unnoticeable.

fyi, chips are less likely in rural zip codes. in the city it's impossible to be more than 2 car lengths behind the person in front of you with traffic.

I didn't take the wheels off or raised the car to put these on.

I had a finger ratchet and a screwdriver bit, and that allowed me to get all the existing screws off where needed front and back.

(something like this at Sears, except I got mine at Harbor Freight: http://www.sears.com/iwork-20-pc-1-4...p-00925501000P)

For the new hole needed for each of the rear guards, you can put a drill bit on a dremel and get the hole drilled into the plastic quite easily.

For the 2 new holes needed for each of the front guards, you can turn the wheel completely to one direction, giving you access again with the dremel and drill bit to make the new hole into your fenderwell for the clip. For the bottom screw hole needed, I actually used a metal screw to create a starter hole into the plastic, and the guard screw followed that quite nicely.

I really like them. I had a set on my 2011 SS vert and just installed them on my 2012 SS as well. They are pretty functional as well,.... I think they prevented 70% of the road grime and junk from hitting my door area and lower rear quarter area.

I did the same method! Made it so easy.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

I would'nt take them off my car for any reason, one of my best investment so far, and I insist on Investment. No chips since there on.
Well said. I'm looking forward to throwing them on once they come in. I was going to install the clear bra and might just do that down the line, but for now, this is a cheap, simple installation that doesn't take away from the look at all. I probably wouldn't get them in an offsetting color, but they would flow nicely with the body.

I would never get a set for my Camaro simply because I think they look horrible. They interfere with the look of the car. I'd rather wipe down the rocker panels and fenders on a regular basis than have the splash guards on my car. Sorry, just saying how I feel......

If the only thing people had to worry about was a little mud or water on the side of the car, none of us would (will, I have them sitting on my desk, just need a car) have them.

I took a look at a 2011 Camaro where I work at the inside of of the front wheels and the paint looks like it was sandblasted. There are pictures in some of the other forums of others having the same problems. It looks like

I have even though of going so far as putting some clear bra on the side facing the wheels in the front to even protect them from the rock chips.

Really don't see the issue with it being aesthetically noticeable, if it was anything but a sports car I might raise more attention to it but by design these cars are pretty curvy. More attention is being drawn elsewhere regardless and these hug towards the tires.

I love the way they look, I put IOM splash guards/quarter flares on my Summit White to match my stripes. They really pop.
