Just like individuals have a right to do hot-laps around the block at 11PM at night, others have the right to complain if they are being disturbed when sleeping. Hard call on this one.

I'm going to be completely honest; My vehicle is very loud with the LT's and wicked MBRP exhaust, I don't go to bed at 11PM, but I do hear bonehead ricers driving around the block at all hours of the night, so have to admit when I'm trying to sleep to get up for work the next day I don't appreciate the noise, and considering the amount of noise my vehicle makes I definately sympathize with my neighbors, but it is what it is.

Personally, I'd be more concerned about the neighbors on meth making noise at all hours. What's up with that?

Your neighbors are right and your dad is the idiot. Revving a loud car like that at 11pm? WTF is wrong with you. Show some respect for your neighbors.

Coming from someone who his entire life has been VERY inconsiderate to others when it comes to this! Always had very loud cars, bikes, stereos etc... and never worried about what others thought! Now that i am an old fart (44) and with a new baby girl I now see it from a different perspective! For the moron that compared revving the engine and driving around at 11pm to kids playing at 10AM. (well, enough said!).
The OP stated that he did "rev" it up and drove it around where I am sure he got on it to show it off! (I would)
Some of ya should look at it from the other side! My baby girl has been having treatments every 3-4 2 weeks and has nightmares so she does not like going to sleep, so once we get her to sleep it's real important to keep her that way! I rarely sleep now too so when i get to sleep i do not like to be woken up. Respect your neighbors and they will show the same in return! (most of them!)

Sorry, after watching the video of the car, there is a good chance your father's car breaks noise bylaws. He might have got a warning this time, but if it turns into a habit, the chances of a ticket increase.

My point was that driving around at 11 sometimes can't be helped as well as kids playing at 10 can't be helped. I also stated that revving and burnouts was a diff matter. Thanks for reading my fellow moron..

I have modified exhaust on my Harley. I leave for work on it at 5:30am and respect my neighbors with a brief start and idling away.

Understandable to call if it's a reoccurring problem.. as in laps with open headers every night.

For a one time thing though... that's just stupid in my humble opinion.

I live in a condo and frequently come home late - I would imagine that there are a number of older folks that aren't too fond of me. They're also the same reason a recent amendment to allow leasing failed - perhaps I should leave the dumps open?
