It just seems to me that gm says it'll make 580hp and everybody believes it, but refuse to believe and questions the 650hp....in a way I question it also, I dont see how theyre gonna be able tO keep the power DOWN to only 650hp with the upgrades they made

Tires will fix either cars traction issues. There chassis are extremely well developed so I'm guessing they both will be in 11's with good drivers

That's the real race I'm looking forward to. Put the same drag radial on both cars and line them up to separate the men from the boys.

The March issue of Hot Rod has a pretty extensive write up on the 2013 GT500 along with a dyno run that actually shows over 670hp at the engine's 7000rpm redline.

An interesting read.

Ford should paste a whole bunch of "stickers" on the '13 GT500, 'cause we all know "stickers" on the windows will up the performance and HP numbers.....

That Hotrod was definately a nice read. I'm still curious about the details of the over-rev' feature...

I feel the same. This has not been talked about very much and seems to be somewhat similar to the "red key" feature on the Boss. Ahhh but we can only speculate. One thing is for sure, American cars are running up the track and strip on Euro and Japanese designs. We are upping the ante and still no response. I look forward to the release of the new "Supra" aka FT86 that Toyota leaked.
