- Well stated - there may be some folks who want/can afford a new crate engine for their brand new camaro - but I'd guess most folks would be more interesting in performance bolt on parts.
Seems bizarre to bring out the new camaro and lead on all the other engines you could put in it....

The part number that is on the Dale car on the site is actually the number for the high wing spoiler at the dealer.

I think it's fair that with all the other threads started about other performance builders that GM has their own, especially since some people want to start adding pieces right after delivery, like Tag who had his dropped at Tom Henry. The sooner they're informed the sooner they can begin getting add-ons ready. Those cams would be nice to have in BEFORE taking delivery, if you could stand the wait.

Either engine would work well in the new Camaro. While the LS7 gives 505 horsepwoer, the LSX454 will come in about 100 hp more, and the sky is the limit with add-ons.

Here's a litle tip if you are going the blower route: The LSX376 is going to come out as a low compression (9:1) blower-ready engine with forged pistons. It should easily withstand 700 horsepower.

Of course, if you want the ultimate in blower LS power, we do have a couple of LS9s in stock. They are very, very limited in production, but they get you 638 horsepower.

The LSA is going to be released at the end of this week. It will be a more affordable alternative to the LS9, and it still gets you 550 horse.

Or, we've got proven CNC-ported LS3 heads and a Hot Cam kit that will pick you up close to 100 hp - if you just want to do some quick bolt-on power.

You can buy all of these parts online from one our dealers at www.GMPerformanceParts.com.

It's just a great time to be into high performance Camaros!

Thanks for taking a look at GM Performance Parts!

Jamie
So lets say the lsx454 is new and the ls7 is new what kind of numbers are we talking between each motor in the quarter mile, mph, etc. Is it worth it to add the extra weight of the lsx? Also when is the fuel injected version coming out for lsx454? Are the #'s going to be the same as the carb verslion?

Don`t hold my feet to the fire on this idea, but you may be able to register it as a home/kit built if you were go this route, just a thought.
