Ya, good catch. Your right. The process the coater's use would be terrible for the cats. I worded it wrong. What I meant was to get the HF cats at the sametime as the headers. But if you read it, seems like I'm stating to coat the cats as well.

Unless it's a show car, not worth the $ IMO. It's under the hood and 99% of the people that see your car will never see your headers. I can live with a slight temp increase and put the $ into something else.

I agree....it's a personal preference thing.

I do show my car (as well as drag race and auto-x it). So, you are correct, if you never plan to open your hood and show off you engine then it's probaby not worth the extra cash. Otherwise if you do...it's worth it. Especially if you get it trough a deal like Maryland Speed where he is effectively giving it for free.

Problem is I'm the 1%. But ya, that money could be spent elsewhere for better gains. It's sort of like the icing on the cake or popcorn with a movie. You don't need it, but it does make it better.
