On a more serious note.

The car will not feel as "snappy" until about 3k-5k miles put on the car. When they first came out in '09 people were saying how sluggish they felt.... that being because of wrong octane fuel in them thus brought around the fuse pull to reset octane tables. Then the 3k-5k- miles came and they woke up even more.

I drove in my dealership with a modded e46 m3 SMG and left with an L99 (this was in 2009 before I upgraded to an Ls3). Needless to say I was very impressed. The icing on the cake is when I ran into my friend's e92 m3 3 min after I left the dealership and beat him very nicely. Im sorry you werent impressed.

I had a 2011 L99 and my 2012 LS3 is even faster than the L99 ever was even with tune and bolt ons. Don't know why maybe I have a factory freak. Or maybe that L99 had 87 octane.
