If the lens is cyrstal clear look for a bad ground connection.
Fadeing is kinda the rust of glass isn't it?

Exactly. Perhaps some pictures would help make suggestions a bit easier.

Pull the light assembly out, remove the bulb, grab the wifes hairdryer and gently push warm air in to dry the condensate out. If it starts to clear up, you have found out what is wrong, next you need to find the leak around the lens or at the back of the assembly that is allowing moisture in and the heat of the bulb to vaporize it.

My best guess.

I make automotive lighting for a living. Most headlamps the lens part is made of polycarbonate very strong stuff a rock a 100+ will not even put a dent in it. But if you clean your head lamps with glass cleaner(Ammonia=Bad) you will break down the molecules in the plastic and it will turn hazy over time also there is a "Hard Coat" on the outside with a UV protective coating if you buff that off your lamp will scratch easier and will turn white/yellow.

Only use sope and water on your lights.

Just go to wal-mart and get a kit to buff hazy headlamps just make sure what you get also has a UV protection built in to it.

Water on the inside yep thats a leaker. But just so ya know there is a vent hole or two on the bach side of the lamp just so ya know.

Look on the bright side if you had a Dodge your lamps WILL turn white because they do not pay for the UV protection just look around at any 4 year old dodge.

.. if so.... then you know I suppose one could bake the headlight and pull it off as if they were installing the LED halos... and polish/clean it.

This was the kind of help I was looking for. I didn't know anything about taking those lights out or anything so I wasn't sure what to do. What exactly does that entail?

I'm not sure... I thought it might be since the fading must be on the inside. So I suppose.

So should I take it apart as suggested earlier and use the polish and other stuff on it as well?

Never had a camaro headlamp apart but most cars lamps are glued and or melted together. If you can get it apart whay not try if your next step is to get a new one. A new lamp will be way up there for a HID.

If it is on the outside, this is my suggestion:

Yea, I did that maybe three weeks ago. Changed it a bit, but that is what led me to believe there is some on the inside. What s crazy is I bought a Silverado brand new in 2007 and it did the exact thing on only one side. Very upsetting.
