I figured as much. GM allows access of tune info to these companies knowing what its gonna be used for so you know they will have a way of tracing it on vehicles.

It's starting to make me sad that I see so many threads about guys buying Camaros with automatics, and then complaining about how their cars won't do burnouts. Did you buy the car because you enjoy driving it, or because you want to re-live your teenage glory days and do burnouts?

The Autos do burnouts just fine.

I would have to agree, my 2010 L99 with CAI, LTs and exhaust with a JRE engine and trans tune would burn em easily, especially in manual mode but it would also do it just fine in auto more as well.

The warm weather is probably the biggest problem with the sticky tires but a good tune will make a hell of a difference with the L99. In my opinion, when the cars are pretty much stock, it seems a good tune will bring more out of the L99 then it will from the LS3. This is likely because of the difference it makes in the trans performance.

Anyway put it in sport mode turned off TC and Stabilitrac and from a stop I punch it and all I get is a chirp wtf? Also can we not power brake these new cars anymore?

I did not try tap shifting usually it would break tires free in drive with traction control on.

Is it the perelli tires? or the warmer weather? Why is my V8 performing like a 1995 Geo Metro 3 cylinder?
Sure you are holding down Traction Control button long enough for both lights to come on? (approx 7 seconds)?..... mine wouldn't smoke em' on a warm day when stock without using the brake either, the Pirelli's get real sticky.

OP, how many miles do you have on your car? Mine was a dog until after about 2,000 miles or so, then it would spin the tires with no issues in sport mode, manual mode, competition mode and even with all the nannies on (for a little bit until the computer caught on to what was going on ).

My car rost the tires from a roll without dumping the clutch, even before the cam it spun hard when I jumped on it. Breaks them loose in 2nd gear now with the cam.

ahhh your tires hook up... Wish I could share that "terrible problem".

One day you will wish it could hook up.

..and you guys must have a ton of money to throw at brakes if you are power braking.

Mine will chirp or get a little sideways on the 2nd to 3rd shift. Headers and tune. Can get away from you if your not on a good road surface.

This is a link for Magnuson. If you read to the bottom of the description tab, they do offer a power train warranty for a few dollars extra if you're worried about voiding the factory warranty. I didn't realize this was offered until recently. Now I still don't have that kind of money, but...also consider it is and extra 100+ pounds on your car. LOL

The warrantee is only valid from Magnuson if you use their air intake, their tune and no other add ones from what I understand.

Also, from what I understand, their tune really leaves alot to be desired.

I see you're listed as a LS3 auto. Did you have the DOD delete? Were you able to break your tires loose before this? I see you're over 430 RWHP as well?

Was it possible before you did this to you car? LOL
