Woah woah woah woah....Howard. You been holding out on me??

Respect to the 86 Prelude first off.....I drove a 280k mile one to and from SF for almost a year. Had a total of about $600 in that car. It was a hammer!

Second.............

Every detail on that 69 Festival Car.......go!

I should disclaim here a bit, I saw this thread started by Ivan and thought this was a great idea, the photos with the exception of the 5th gens are not my cars and are in fact just photos googled which represent as close as I could find, the cars I've owned over the years. My first car was the 61 Chevy which I bought for a whopping $ 50.00 when I was in high school, It had a 235 6 cylinder and a 2 speed power glide trans, what a boat but it was a pretty cool car, on of the ones I wish I still had today, the next was the Plymouth Fury 3 in which I installed my upgraded audio system, (an 8 track tape player) It served it's purpose and I even still had it after graduating HS and moving to Baltimore complete with it's new/ salvaged front end (don't ask!) At some point the 67 Lemans came along just out of necessity as the Fury was just done for. I was ok and it had the pontiac OHV 6 cylynder which was a pretty cool engine at the time. Then 1 day driving on Rt 40 west of Baltimore I spotted "THE" car, a 69 Camaro Z11 Convertible Pace car, After some negotiation with my folks to cosign a loan (my first auto loan, young & no credit) and man I was too cool !! Thus began my love for the Camaros, This car handled so well and had 350 CID 350 HP turbo 350 Auto trans, I always regret having sold this and still would like to have another some day. Due to work needs, along came the used 73 El Camino POS built during the " GM quality years " when cars disintegrating to rust in just a few years was considered normal wear & tear . Working at an apartment complex at the time, one of our residents had the Datsun pickup just sitting in the parking lot and traded mme doing a tuneup on thier Maxima for the title to the pickup, an invetment of about $50 dollars on my part, I rebuilt the engine for the pickup in the living room of my apartment (2nd floor, good thing was an aluminum 4 cylinder ) at a cost of about $250-300 turned out to be a great and dependable truck for quite some time, THEN................ TBC

I've been eyeing a certain 69 Festival car for the last 22 years. I passed it every day on the way to school and then later after the Navy I went back with cash in hand and offerred a huge amount of money to the guy. No sale. The car has literally not moved in year and it kills me that people like that do crap like that.

Even to this day, I divert to drive by it if I'm ever in the area.

One day....we'll see. LOL I can listen to stories about your Pace Car all day brotha....
