Surprised you maintained your cool, I would have been pissed. I would've been like I parked here purposely so people like you would park far far away. If she would've caught me on a bad day she would've heard an earful. I have no tolerance for people's ignorance

Thanks for the support everyone. I'm still pissed about it, but what's done is done.

I'll get an estimate and go from there.

as far as remaining calm, it was only on the outside. But if I had let it out, what would it have changed. I just hope she is more careful in the future so hopefully someone can benefit from this situation.

But I think I'm going to park a little more extreme at the gym in the future. Maybe across the street in the parking lot of the closed down electronics store. After all, if I'm there to exercise, why not start with a nice long walk to warm up? (But if someone parks THERE and does anything, I think my response might involve a bit more volume.)

if you don't mind risking the parking ticket, just park diagonally across 2 spaces. I do it all the time in the back of big parking lots that never fill up like walmart. with a couple hundred empty spaces I don't figure a cop will ticket me, or walmart would have me towed. I just make sure I do it in a part of the lot that will not fill up.

I have the same story.

I ended up getting paintless dent removal and made 50 bucks in the process.

That sucks. These cars seems to attract that type of person. I can park 1/2 an acre away from any other car in a store parking lot, leave the car for 10 minutes and come back with a piece of crap car sitting right beside the camaro with 30 parking spots to choose from.

In all honesty, I think some see us park away from other cars and get a hair up their rear thinking that we feel we are better then everyone else so they want to prove a point......

I agree, take a little pride in what you own!!! That is one of the big problems with this country today, no one takes any pride in their own possesions and even less respect for others.

I stopped by the local McD's last night. Parked on the opposite side of the building. COMPLETELY empty. Right as I was walking outside a truck and a car whipped in on either side and people piled out. Thought I was gonna shit blood, lol. She survived though. I know she's gonna get her ding soon enough, prefer not at 165 miles on the odometer, lol. I'm gonna be freakin' at work for a little while when she's sitting outside for 8-10 hrs a day unsupervised.
