If the roof on the production version remains "true" to the styling of the Concept, I don't see how a sunroof could work, re; the "lines" of the roof will not allow for a sunroof, without ruining (IMO) the styling of the Camaro.

I do not see a sunroof, t-tops, nor a targa roof being available other than through an aftermarket company.

I truly feel it's either one of two options; fixed roof or 'vert. Anything else would take away from the cars appearance.

The only way i would accept any option like this is if it was a removable roof panel like the vet has. i just the lines of the roof. I dont think there is any way to do it and make it look top notch not to mention function for a long time. Tag i do like the idea of a metal panel that would act like a sun roof but i would be afraid that there would have to be a strip of weather striping that would be visible however it wouldn't make that make that much of a deal with a black car like I'm planing on getting, any other car may be unattractive or just plain ugly.

Well, if you remember the shot of the production prototype the contours in the roof are nonexistent. No matter what the case I'm just happy to have a 5thgen. Period. However, a sunroof really adds to the versatility of any car as you're able to ventilate the interior while the car is parked or let some light in on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon and listen to the thrum of the exhaust as you're blasting down Mulholland highway. If the Challenger (a car of similar dimensions to the 5thgen) has a sunroof then I'm more than sure the Camaro could get away with one as well.

I think that some folks are missing the point. Or perhaps, I'm missing what they're saying. BUT - say the above statements equal each other out:p and let's take a quick peek at the roof of the concept:

I don't think a sunroof is possible.

And personally, as a Coupe-buyer, I want those sharp lines of the inverted mohawk (that the designers took time and effort to execute) over a bland, looks-like-every-other-car-boring roof just to accomodate a sunroof option.

Oh, and you can't really tell anything from that prototype picture. :p Be serious. There was a glare, on top of Cow-camo, and it was poor resolution. You could take a picture like that of my grandmother's face, and you wouldn't be able to see her wrinkles....

I would ave to gracefully disagree with you the pics of the concept there is definitely a contour to the roof. it almost makes me think of eyebrows looking over the Challenger and Mustang horsing around like the librarian in elementary school always did. Thinking what are you doing!?!

ERR Dragoneye you were faster on the draw than me however good point.

Everyone has to remember that the camo is doing its job, and doing it well. I used to work up close and personal with camo vehicles and you would not believe how much of the bodylines it hides… So much so that I would have to do a double take on some of the vehicles after I saw them without their camo…

^Love your input ChevyNut. Both ideas could work. Targa (vet), or solid metal panel roof. They could make the gaps pretty darn tight on the roof. The weather stripping would probably be so narrow, it would look just like all the other normal sunroofs you see on cars. I think that would look great and be a great idea. I metal sunroof. Kinda the same idea as T-tops, but where you have to leave the roof panels in all the time and the t-top itself is metal......unless you could bend the glass in a way that it would work. But, I could see cost skyrocketing by trying that.

Targa would be ideal, better than a vert, but I have yet to see a 4 seater targa. Anyone know of one?

I had an aftermarket sunroof installed in my '95 Cavalier and never had any problems with it.
