I took my previous LT on the beach in Clearwater, Fl for a modeling shoot. Only problem was it did get stuck in the sand and I had to have 3 men push it out, lol! I made sure to wash it underneath and in the wheel wells really good afterwards. Have fun

Taking your car (occasionally) to the beach is fine, just make sure to wash it frequently.

But don't make your Camaro your "beach vehicle" that frequents the beach regularly. The sand/salt at the beach is really bad for your vehicle. I've lived at or near the beach for a long time.

I've been into surfing for about 30 years. I've rusted out several cars/trucks that I drove ON the beach regularly. Rust will start forming pretty much over night on exposed metal. I rusted out the bumper in a matter of month on my Toyota 4X4. But I drove that truck on the beach almost everyday.

My Camaro only sees beach parking lots from time to time. I make sure to wash it soon afterwards. My Camaro is 3 years old and it doesn't have any rust issues.
But my camaro is garage kept and gets washed frequently. I've also never driven it on the beach.

One thing I would do is get one of those donut shaped air compressors, fill it to capacity and then you can lower the tire pressure on your car down to about 10 or maybe 15 PSI. Then it should handle the sand better. When you get back on the road, that's where the compressor comes into play (set your tires back to 35psi). You could also use the air to remove any loose sand before you wash it off when you get home.

The only time it's wrong to take your camaro to the beach is if it don't have a cooler full of beer in the trunk
