Canada has about 700 dealers whereas the US has over 7000 (right now). It's a bit easier to manage the Canadian ones. They can give a date to Canadians and it'll be reasonable to assume they can make it, based on production requirements. I don't have confirmation that Canadian dealers are still getting accurate TPWs, but if they were, it'd make perfect sense to me.

My TPW was 5/18 a few weeks ago. TPW disappeared last week, car still listed at 3000. I have no idea when the car will show up.

Well I have a slightly different story...

I went to 3400 on 5/9 and was given a TPW of 5/18 by the 1-866 line. Turns out it was correct as it was built on 5/21. I think the problem is we're all dealing w/ people with varying degrees of 'informedness'.

I WILL admit that after being an early advocate of the 1-866 line, I had at least 4 completely ineffective consecutive calls to that line. I can now see why so many defined it as "useless". In the end tho', it worked for me.

So what did you do, keep calling until you got someone who was willing/able to find info for you?
