cool cam and dyno comparison. not sure why anyone would actually do a cam swap without any other mod, but very cool results!!

In 2010 the bar is being raised once again when it comes time for any service work at a dealership. You will see more and more warrantys void due to calibration changes. With that being said, unless the engine is physically opened up..Your dealer will not know it has ever been touched and has an aftermarket cam.

This is why we have this cam available.

I think its possible it may come close to producing equal power "under the curve", but it won't make more peak power...just too much drivetrain loss...its dyno'ing nearly 50rwhp less stock...

It should run ET's that are equal to or better than the M6 with similar mods though....as much trouble as people are having launching these things, MT DR on a stalled auto should be as easy to launch as possible and cut good 60' consistently. The auto will be hard pressed to trap mph with the 6 sp though.

I hope your right, but I just don't see it happening. I have an auto FWIW.

True but have you seen the results that Comp Cams has made on their VVT test engine. They were able to gain up to 69rwhp with a tune while keeping proper idle, extending the broad torque curve, increasing top end HP, and increasing tope end RPM. I think the L99 will have a good chance to greatly reduce that LS3 HP advantage.

ADM - I like the sleeper concept and the gains! Do you have plans to work on the L99 soon? Although to get full benifits of the cam and VVT tuning is most liekly required.

I know this one doesn't require it but how hard is the ECM to swap out? Is there some sort of tamper-evident sticker? Could you tune a replacement and then swap the stock ECM back in before taking it in for warranty work (assuming your other mods don't full out require the tuned ECM)? If so, how much would a replacement cost (ballpark)?

I would also like to know this, this cam seems very interesting though.

it will produce more under the curve on an engine dyno. of course it will lose more through the auto than the manual to the wheels. but like you said, it will be much easier to launch. man, if the auto didn't cost 1000 more, I'd be sooo temped to get it to put the l99 haters in their place.
