I didn't see anything unprofessional about any of his responces... Vendors are people too, and have the right to defend their product, hopefully in a curtious manner. In a world where everyone is quick to threaten legal action against something they don't like (), I'd say his responce was fairly professional, to the point, and kept things clean.

Apex Chase did pull the JRE test card, to which there was no responce... Because there really isn't one.

It doesn't hurt anything not having the scoop, still works as designed... You can always add the scoop later if you decide to. Typically you will get a better deal if you buy a package deal from places like Auto Agenda, Apex, etc that comes with the intake, scoop, and relocated washer bottle. Saves quite a bit of money than buying everything individually.

There isn't much to post because our scoop is powder coated black so you can't see it once it is installed. Here is a picture one of our customers took. Unfortunately he also has the lower grill ducts so it is a little different but, as you can see, there isn't much to see.

A scoop is not required with the CAI Inc systems, it is just an available upgrade that helps it produce even better results.

Ive heard enough from other people, including two car shops here in houston, to convince me to trade in my K&N for a CAI.

For those that can read the Jannetty testing the AIRAID and the CAI both did very well. It really comes down to appearance, Fit & Finish, and the Warranty offered on the product.

Hello Sales @ CAI Inc,

The AIRAID does not ingest underhood air as it is enclosed when you close the hood. The AIRAID also breathes through the OEM scoop for true cold air. We utilize the hood as the seal so we can use allot larger filter with allot more surface area, which equates to more airflow, better filtration, and longer service intervals.

Yes 90% are like our's, considering we have been building Cold Air Intake Systems since 1997 and are a pioneer in the industry. We have won the PWA award 2 times in the last 6 years, recognizing AIRAID as one of the Top manufactures in the industry. See the difference between AIRAID and other brands is The Overall Quality of Components, Fit & Finish, and Performance of the AIRAID are 2nd to none.

Unlike other brands, I will not sit here and attempt to bash the competition to make my product look better. The AIRAID is an excellent kit and the quality stands on it own. Anybody who has seen it in person or has actually used the product can attest to that.

Thanks,
David

kcox2010 get the cai or the vararam best know 2 intakes for the ss.
A little more professional about what? Not one of his posts were out of line and neither were any of the other vendors' posts. The vendors are on here to help us members with information AND sell THEIR products. The only post that was uncalled for was the "Airaid is Garbage" post from some random clown. An intake is all personal preference. Most people that own a particular brand will be outspoken and supportive of said brand. My mods are in my sig. I've heard many times that some of my parts are junk in random posts. I don't care, I've never had any problems with my mods. They make my car sound great and also add some performance. Everybody is a critic...
