Have you looked at some of the factory welds on the car?

Is your's tuned or still running a stock tune?
I usually ran with them open most of the time unless my 6 month old was with me or going through town and needed to be quite....love they way they sound....

I think I am going to look into bolt on options...I will check those other cutouts other mentioned and see if they fit my fancy....I like Noweeds because they divert the exhaust rather than a cut out, bolt on, and look like they don't hang very low from the pictures I have seen. But they are hella pricey. The QTPs saw pavement twice (2 years ago and a week ago). The speed "bumps" had lots of gouges in them so many people had bottomed out on them...I was stuck and had no choice but to go over them....and I went as slow as I could...

I wonder which option has the least likely hood of touching pavement over inclines/speed bumps...I am not lowered at all and they were as high as they could go....

My QTPs have never hit the ground, in over 2 years. But that's not to say I like them. I almost didn't install them because of the clearance issue. It is not something QTP advertises, but admitted after I had their product in hand.

I ordered my NoWeeds 2 weeks ago, I'm hoping they show up this week. The 2-3 wait time kind of sucks. I'll compare the clearances, but I believe that the NoWeeds isn't any lower than the stock setup.

hey MikeSS, do you have qtp cutouts, and if so, how lowered are you? I was thinking about lowering but dont wanna lose my cutouts like this.

yes QTP, lowered 1 inch. trust me its not a problem. my dealership did the install and they said they did plenty of QTP cutouts installed on lowered cars. just dont be dumb about some speed bumps.
