My Dad still has his 1993 Camaro of which he is the original owner. It has roughly 250,000 miles on it and all he has ever needed to replace over the life of the car was rear wheel bearings, one clutch replacement, and a few brake jobs. He isn't even very good about the maintenance; it still held up really well.

205,000 on my 94 Z28. ( I have had her for 9 years) No major issues until last 10,000 miles and she has decided to get obnoxious at me for flirting with a new camaro.... Transmission, water pump, broken exhaust header studs (just age fractures) - but overall has been cheapest car/mile I have ever owned. Engine uses no oil between services and starts first time every time

I'm glad to hear that older Camaros last for a long time and I am pretty sure that the new ones will be even better. GM has put tons of effort into catching up to and surpassing the reliability of the best foreign cars and it is totally working. (Disclaimer: I work for GM)

I believe most cars these days are engineered to last 150,000 miles. I would guess you could get nearly that far without major (engine/transmission) problems. Other stuff like alternators etc will wear out.

In the lab, we run the equivalent of some road tests for multiple lives. So again, you get the equivalent of 100's of thousands of miles, but not on the odo.
It will all depend on how well you maintain the car. Follow the maintanence schedule, keep it clean from salt and dirt and you should see well into the 100's if not more.
I believe the average car is 17 years old in the U.S. now. So you have age and you have miles to consider.
Thanks "3" for clarifying the test mules milage numbers and how they equate.
Glad to know from someone who's closest to how the tests are performed that we can expect a lot of years, miles (and smiles) from this car.

Gonna be my daily driver. Currently I drive 36 miles one way to work. So unless I get a new job or move within the next few years I'm expecting to be at 100,000 miles shortly after the cars 4th birthday. I got 155,000 out of my 95 Z28 which included a rebuilt tranny at 100,000 and a rebuilt engine at about 110,000. I beat the hell out of that car and got 155,000. I'm much more responsible these days so I am expecting 150,000 minimum and at that point I would get another car and keep the Camaro as a weekend driver hoping for it to last close to 200,000.

Anyone know anyone that's put 200,000 on a Camaro? I'm sure lots of people, I've just never heard of that.

Like I said over a million miles is possible if you keep corrosion. The powertrain is modular of course (you rebuild it over and over again).

Emma Ely bought her baby blue 1970 Chevy Camaro SS 350 38 years ago and has driven it daily ever since. As a result, she's racked up 1,104,000 miles on the odometer and counting — a number so high, the odo has rolled over to start at zero more than once.
lol..

The car cost $2,958.50, plus an additional $1,459.45 in optional equipment and accessories-including $40 for those white stripes. She made 36 payments of $107.01.

I hope I get as many out of it as I had on my 97 Olds with a 3800. 278,000 when I sold it and it was still running great. The trans went at 225k, but the motor didn't even use any oil.

100,000 miles can be done easily with the way cars are mades these days. That mark was typical with older vehicles. I have a 94 Suburban that just hit 180,000 miles runs good. Just do the proper maintenace and the dang car will last forever. Treat it poorly it will not last as long. Kinda common sense.

Also I don't think you can really compare this Camaro with the 4th Gen Camaro. There was a long gap in between the 2 models. Many things have changed in 7 years.
