What a car, for what it is it is perfect the way it is. Why buy a zl1 to tear down and build a race car. Why not just buy a cheep car and build a drag car. Because no matter how much weight you can shave off or how much power you add, it will never be enough.

Next gen will be based on a lighter platform and will probably be 5 to 8 hundred pounds lighter.
No chance the Camaro will lose 500-800 lbs in the 6Gen. 200-300 tops.

Seibon have carbon fenders, not sure how much weight they shave off the factory fenders, I also kinda like the slightly flared version.

Lets talk seats, are there any nice carbon fiber COMFORTABLE bucket seats?
Sounds like your heading in a good direction. Maybe also 2 piece rear rotors. BTW, if you're racing 1/4 mile each 100 lbs nocked off only reduces the time by a tenth, better to add power.

A five star safety rating is part of the weight rating with all the air bags and big car frame. If you want a skinny car with no safety rating, why not buy a Dubai production car...Oh wait, Dubai doesn't make a production car OHHH!!!!!

With 500-800 lbs lost the Corvette wouldn't stand a chance if the Camaro gets the LT1. You'd have a lot of pissed off Corvette owners...

Dubai is one of the richest cities in the world, if UAE wanted to make a car, you couldn't afford it. Just saying. In the Dubai airport there's a MP412C supercar. In your mall I bet there's a Malibu or some other family sedan.

so all the sub 4000lbs cars in the world are non safe vehicles, and if you're approacing a curb weight of 3000lbs then you're asking for a death wish good excuse...

Im swapping out both front and rear brakes, not sure if there would be any weight savings on the fronts too, I guess time will tell. They are 410mm 12piston caliper fronts, and 385mm 6piston caliper rears, got brakes?

Jeez! You guys in Dubai with all your money haha. I go through there 2-3 times a year as I travel from work back to the states. BEAUTIFUL city, and I've barely seen it as i only travel back and forth between the terminals at the airport haha.

I am going to go ahead and resist a Borat quote here. You can Google "Borat Magnet" and see what pops up. That's my answer.
