You are correct, there is no allocation restrictions for the 1LE.

The 1LE is an SS with maximized handling...and an SS is the V8 Camaro that's built and priced for everyone. The 5th-gen Z/28 was not built for everyone. But I like what they did with the car...I probably can't afford it...and to be frank, I don't want it (I like my comfy "luxury" items in the ZL1). I just absolutely love that they did everything humanly possible an OE could do to build and sell a race car that's legal on the street, much like the original. With today's available technology...that's not cheap - and I didn't expect it to be. And with that, I'll try to stay on topic...my apologies to the OP.

You're ordering a vehicle with limited build. They generally take a little longer than normal just because of allocation and availability. How long do you think it's going to take to get a '14? lol

They wanted the Z/28 name to mean more like it once did when it was first introduced. Obviously they felt the content in the 1LE didn't live up to their expectations for the name. Kind of hard to argue the results of anything they've made with the new Z/28 cause it's an awesome expensive piece of machinery. I'm sure it's worth every penny, it will just cost more pennies than I have.

If you are that impatient, you could simply start checking local inventory or have your dealer search for a model that meets your requirements. They have been shipping the past couple of weeks and are now hitting the dealers.

I saw a black 1LE for sale at my dealership just chillin' when I went to order mine. I wanted it but put in an order for an AGM instead. Good things come to those who wait for their 1LE's! Good luck OP and patience is a virtue...

FYI, I'd rather have a modded 1LE than a ZL1. Some guys prefer N/A performance. A LS7 1LE would have been the ultimate street car for the price. GM nailed it real good and you can beat Mustang Boss on a racetrack and its a ''poors man ZL1'', or it has an identity crisis? Who gives a F***Plp begged for years for a stripped Z/28 and now its too much 'stripped' for the price or I dont know what else. With the 1LE, GM has the best performance package of the industry at a ridiculous price and plp 'dont get it' There is so many way to order your Camaro today that its almost impossible not to find what fits your needs perfectly!!

You could almost label each with a specific purpose/goal within the larger Camaro brand... When I tried...the 1LE ended up being: "The affordable daily driver with serious track skills." It is truly an unbelievable bargain - and friggen' blast to drive!

I ordered a 1LE today. The guy said 4 weeks for delivery, 6 weeks max. From what I have been reading here and other places, I questioned him about it. He told me that one was just delivered this week in 4 weeks. I guess I will find out soon.
