There were slices in the upper part of the sidewalls and I didn't notice until the next day but I am sure if I didn't notice it for a week or two they wouldn't have replaced them.

They said it was caused from the delivery off the truck!?

Thanks MKNZ for the update on your tires. I have a 2013 ZL1/VIN 1199. Not a big fan of the tires, but with 700 miles on the car, everything about the car has been correct from day one. I hope GM will resolve your issues, and jack-up your dealer.

It is funny because the General Manager at the dealership said that the replacement is General Motors issue not his because GM will be the one that replaces the car not them.

I have 2000 miles on the ZL1 now and it seems to be issue after issue.

I have requested GM replace the car due to the above mentioned, and I am sure it will be a fight, but I wanted to get the thoughts of everyone before I sink my teeth in!

My dealership has been ok but really stalling the seat and kind of act like it's not a big deal I just spent over $60K and the car has all the issues. I forgot to mention the heads up display goes out and the radio/ navigation has a glitch, but what do you think about this?
Honeslty why a company would replace an entire car for the minor issues you have listed is beyond me. why you would expect it is also beyond me. I would have never left the lot with a car that had slashes in the tires.

my advice would be to inspect the car before you drive it away next time. I don't trust dealers so I always look a car over before I leave.

tires simply mount, a seat is 4 bolts, a radiator takes 1 hr to replace. I mean it sucks to have to deal with but you have not posted on thing that is actually a structural or major mechanical issue.

People want an entire new car anymore if there is a chip in the paint.

I would literely inspect the car this time drop it off make them fix the issues at hand and go from there. You have a waranty fo this purpose.

Well the major issue with the transmission or u-joint or whatever it is making the loud noise when shifting and also the loose feeling it has when that happens is a major concern of mine! When the Camaro has under 2K miles and the dealer has had the car as much as I have it is an issue. There is a problem when the tech takes the car on a 30 mile joyride and they refuse to produce the old tires and now magically there is an issue with the way it drives and sounds when shifting gears. When I paid the money for the car I wanted to enjoy it, not pay for something that has continuous issues. If it was a 20K car it wouldn't be a big deal.

I don't think this is a spilled milk scenario I think they should replace the car and I will proceed with that idea because I want it to be original in all aspects. I plan to keep this car forever, in the same way I was past a 58 vette from my father that happens to be all original minus a couple misc. parts I want to keep that thought when leaving those Cars to my boy!

The fact is GM should stand behind their product and if was a case where there was more than just myself with this issue I would understand but I haven't seen anyone else post anything like this when owning the car for 5 weeks.

For the record I did inspect the car and it happened to be at night when I finally got delivery and the cuts in the tires were like a peel. it wasn't like a chunk was gone. I really had to look then it happened to be the same on both tires. I finished my inspection the following morning in the light of the day and it was mentioned right away.

Sorry you've had to deal with issues on such a new car. I would've made a bigger stink about the 30 mile test drive and refusal to show the rear tires. No dealership is going to go out of there way to hide something that would not show fault by them.

Agreed that is part of the reason I am making such a stink. That is why I'm requesting the car be replaced because now there is a bigger issue with the transmission or something of that nature!

You have a F!@#ING right to be mad, and don’t feel bad about venting. These aren’t cheap cars so everything better work when you get it.

Sorry to hear about all the issues with the car and hopefully they will get fixed. There seems to be a common problem with the Goodyear Eagle F1’s so that should be a no brainer fix.

I am at a loss with all the other issues you have mentioned, I am just waiting for my car to be shipped; last week when I checked the car was at 4B00 status.

Hopefully this will not become common practice with these cars.

OK.. that was a quick easy fix. So what was the reason for radiator change... did it leak?

This is true and they won't just replace it unless due diligence is done and in this case it's far from that point.

If the tranny is making a noise, what did the dealership say about it. They drove it for 30 miles and all you seem to care about is seeing the old tires. You're not making sense here.

GM does stand behind their product. A representative has even been in this thread and asked you for information. Did you give it to him??? Hopefully it is better than the info we are getting here, so he can help.

You're a long way from getting a car replaced.

I am sorry but if I had just spent 60K on a car and it had all these problems you can bet your ass I would be raisin hell and do not try to make me believe you would not either! He got the car and he did not notice the tires but tires can be replaced. All the other crap that is happening to his car is not his fault. I believe it will only get worse from here on. I would take the car back to the dealer and make them buy it back. GM should and I believe they will do that. He will not be paid for his tag and taxes though but that might be a blessing because of the future problems he would have after it runs out of warranty. I cannot believe you do not think a car company should take the car back when it has all the problems he has said. It should be like any other company that is big business and that is if your product you sell turns out to be "lemon" they should replace it. Now, if he just had a issue with one thing that is different but the others are not good. If he does not have a sour taste about the ZL1 he just might go buy another one.
