Here's my understanding on the dynamics of primary size. It's pretty simple, but that's how I keep things.
The larger the diameter of the primary, the higher up the rpm range you can expect the power increases.

Just to add some more food for thought. If you are concerned about warranty you could look at SLP products which dealers in the CLT area will install and not void the warranty. SLP has some very nice exhausts available and from my understanding have LT headers in development and other items such as CAI and body components.

I posted this in another thead but it didn't get any responses (sorry its off-subject):
Could this camshaft possibly keep the warranty intact since it is a GM part???
